The original game was 3 disks:
Disk 1 - Midgar
Disk 2 - Through the release of the weapons and the initial summoning of meteor
Disk 3 - Everything else

Fun Fact. The entire "game" was on all 3 disc. It needed the extra disc for the FMVs.

Yea. Everyone likes to make it seem like the multiple disc for 7-9 was because they were these massive games. It was not. It was because of how much space the FMVs took on the CD.

I read some rumors last night that episode 1 may release prior to March 3....and that on March 3, they will release the entire game.
While I'm doubtful, I hope thats true.

I hope so but doesn't make sense why they wouldn't put the date or at least the season (summer, fall, etc) of the first episode to get the hype machine rolling in full force.

Huh? Disc 1 ends after Aeris dies.
