I got a blue screen a few hours ago. When I pulled chrome back up, it asked if I wanted to restore. I did, but apparently hit refresh too many times.

I played FFXI for roughly 2 years and loved it. Eventually quit because I didn't have the time to devote to it anymore. Jumped on the original FFXIV for a month or 2 before quitting. I'm thinking about joining back for ARR but would be nice to have some people to "roll" with this time around...

There is a nice community being created here, welcome.
P.S: Of everything I have done in xlv: arr so far.. it's very much going to be xi "grown up" .. aka, more "we don't have the time we use to have" friendly.
game has really followed up nicely.. at first I had a few gripes, but the more I'm playing it, the more I'm realizing they made the right choice on everything.

Just a heads up that the beta will end at 4:00 tomorrow morning. It will begin again next weekend, hopefully.

well, I'm cool with that, while I was hoping for a long phase with continuous servers being up, I always kinda knew this one would end pretty quick. It's all good, getting more excited about this game by the day

That's great to hear. Love the MMO experience just don't quite have the time to spend playin one anymore. Will definitely be playing this though. Seems like most people on here are going to be on Gungnir?

Going to transfer to Hyperion more than likely. Gungnir was good, but now they made some of the servers NA/EU, so just for the sake of possibly a smoother experience, we'll make the switch.

You have to apply for a world transfer. Not sure if it's on the lodestone or on the SE site.

Had a great time playing for the 1 day I was able to.
PS3 version needs some tweaks, like letting me adjust the font smaller in the chat window. Way too big for my taste and the only option was to go bigger. But it ran smooth for the most part. Took a few seconds for some NPCs and players to load but I guess that is expected on a console.

This game ran super smooth this weekend. Was in a FATE event with at least 12 other players and an endless barrage of Earth Sprites, and I didn't see one hiccup. Pretty impressed.

I missed out on this past weekend's test. Had some problems with the installer on Friday that I didn't get fixed until yesterday. I'll hopefully be on for the next weekend.
