I had the same problem. Pro tips.
1. Connect your ps3 directly to the router. My speed jumped from .09 to 4.00 after doing this.
2. Sometimes it would slow down to a crawl after awhile, I would just back out using the ps button then restart the game it would start moving quick again.
Using that method I went from having to wait 800 minutes to 30 lol

Oauron was a champ. Kept me focused on quests while I was trying to BS.
