One of my favorite games.

Building settlements is a great mini game in itself. You can create some really nice settlements with advanced electronics, smart defense systems, etc

No need to horde power armor. shite is everywhere.

Conversation answers, and your actions, start to really matter when you switch companions from Dogmeat to Piper or MaccReady (sp?) or Nick or someone else. They have preferences regarding your answers. Piper likes it when you're nice; MaccReady likes it when your a jerk and steal items. Once you reach a certain affinity level with companions, you get special bonuses.

I loved this game. It was Skyrim with guns. At some point, you might want to check out a wiki for more tips. IGN had some quality info.

Also, join the Railroad to get the ballistic weave armor. If I play again, that's going to be one of my first steps.

Just bought it this weekend too. Loving it so far. You can definitely tell it's a Bethesda game as the controls, inventory system, maps, and interactions in the game have a similar feel to Skyrim.

Considered joining the Brotherhood of Steel and Preston about had a heart attack

The faction interaction is a huge part of the plot. Are you asking us to spoil it for you?

Go over to Cambridge where the Brotherhood of Steel has shacked up in the police station. As soon as you get close to Cambridge, you should receive an automatic quest to help their recon team. IMHO they're dicks, but you won't have to deal with ole Preston's lame arse.

Edit: I forgot to mention, watch out for frag mines and ghouls when you get close. College square is right there by the Police Station and it is loaded with ghouls, so watch yourself.

If you ever want something fun to do, look online for hidden Easter eggs and things like that that are in FO4. My favorite things to look for are hidden movie/tv scenes and hidden scary places (death maze; asylum).

The only faction in FO4 that you can't piss off is the Minutemen. I'm not going to give you any spoilers, I'll let you find out on your own.

I purposely made him hate me with NW and turned every settlement in the Commonwealth into raider outposts or vassals, except Sanctuary, where I left Preston and his groupies. It still doesn't change anything as far as the MM faction. You're still a MM no matter what.

That cat video I posted was just after I took on the Brotherhood and cleared out their blimp.

Felt so good.

Why do you want a virtual animal that shits in a box and brings you dead mice as a token of love?

because id rather that than a virtual animal that eats its own shite and then licks my face as a token of love. at least a cat cleans itself and cleans up after itself if it shits outside. and then doesnt constantly bother me

I'm pretty certain none of that applies in the game.

If I remember correctly there is a point of no return when selecting your final faction.

Just create a few extra save slots and do all factions to get the trophies. The endings were all the same unfortunately.
