I played EQ... I don't remember a lot about it, but I remember making a bard, getting to the level of getting the movement speed song, and then getting those drums to boost movement.

Then literally running across the entire world. Usually getting nasty tells/whispers about how I trained something that I had no idea was following me to the zone line.

When Kunark came out there was a song which gave speed and levitation. You could go through the ice cave between the druid circle area and the greater Dreadlands area and the exit was so high that you could play that song and fly waaaaaaaaaay above the rest of the zone without aggroing anything (would have to wait for the natural drop in levitation to drop me low enough to run down the wall to the FV cave). I don't think any other zone had the terrain to allow that.

Did that run a hundred times. Had to hope Gorenaire didn't come for a snack, she'd hit you with a fear before you could even see her and then you'd be dead before you knew what happened. You could also do it in Frontier Mountains, Lake of Ill Omen to some degree, and in a couple more that I'm not remembering right this second.

Played a Wood Elf Druid on Mith Marr from launch until PoP, which is still my favorite MMO expansion ever. Went back and played way too much P99 about a decade ago just for the nostalgia and the amount of game knowledge that some of those dudes had was straight bonkers.

But I could tell you almost anything about the game from launch to Velious.

The midi music was awesome, I even downloaded it. The beast lord epic was easy if you could get your guild to help.

I eventually settled on a Troll Beastlord and that is still the best class I have played in any game. Played for more years than I'd like to admit. Even after everyone I knew in game quit, I kept plugging away.
Started out on Tholuxe Paells that eventually merged with Bertox. The nostalgia of that game surpasses any game I have played. May have to fire that game up soon.

Completing the warrior epic to this day is still one of my greatest life accomplishments.

Zydeco Ripchord main bard on Bertox. Still play on Agnarr PoP locked server, but nothing like the anxiety of running around in dark in Butherblock trying to find my corpse because Cornflunk punked my arse!

I never had the heart to play on a PvP server, but they did take down the sleeper.

SAND GIANT TRAIN TO EC!

Loved it back in the day, and appreciated the difficulty before they started to water it down starting with Shadows of Lucian (although the bazaar was a very welcome addition).

Planes of Power killed it entirely for me.

Played several classes, like many of yall I am sure, but my two “mains” were a wizard and an enchanter.
