I have two friends that bought it. Neither can put it down.
I'm strongly considering but FIFA comes out Friday.

If you're at all interested in turn based combat RPGs, this is such an amazing game.

i want this game very much..
After watching this game, it feels like you are playing a DND game and the game's AI is the DM. I love that no matter what you do in this game it just keeps rolling, and the flexibility you have to create a character.

This is exactly what it's like.
There's also a "Game Master" mode where a player can be the DM.

This feature didn't go over too well in Sword Coast because unless the players spend a lot of time waiting for the DM to set stuff up or make decisions. My guess is there were a lot of people that never played pencil and paper D&D and didn't know what they were doing or didn't understand that it's not a fast paced hack and slash when playing that mode.
Downloading now.

You wouldn't get very far if their was. You have to establish positions and combos to be efficient in combat. Its 4 party members total, so its not that big a deal. You cant just auto attack your way through fights.

Yeah, it’s not fast paced button mashing like DA, but more about tactical planning. It’s like a cross between X-COM and Baldur’s Gate.

I finally picked this game up with the minuscule 10% off from the steam sale this Black Friday. I'd say the game so far has been well worth the wait..Getting to join a party with a buddy and play through fort joy (not done yet) has been a great experience.
After my first play through, I want to go through on hard mode with only one save game slot and if you have a Total Team Kill you start over from the beginning.

I bought this game and while I enjoy it ... I find myself getting slaughtered everywhere I go in fort joy
I even have a party of 4 now and those crocodiles and Migo (?) just mow through me.
im all for grinding xp and armor and weapons but I cant find any mobs . feels more like a Dialog simulator than a RPG at this point to me BUT I am obviously very early.

It was tough at first for me. I restarted a few times.. I actually appreciate the difficulty of the game.. Just reminds me or Dark Souls. The game is not unfair, but it IS uncompromising.
After tinkering with Party composition multiple times I have found that it works best to specilize your group into specific damage types. Say a physical Damage group with Rouge and Knight and then a Ranger guys..And your last spot make it a mage and have them be a buffer / healer...This worked really REALLY well on the crocs and migo....Additionally if you choose to do a rogue be sure to understand positioning of your group and sneaking mechanics. I did not realize that while it may be your "Ranger's turn" you can just sit there and select your rogue who is hiding in the back and sneak him up to the corcodile avoiding his dark red aggro cone and just backstab the shite out of him!!

Knights are really good throughout the game. Also, there are ways to get migos ring without d
Fighting him! The game usually has multiple outcomes for mist every quest offered in game. It depends on the player.
I re rolled again with all magic and a hybrid melee magic...wasnt working out real good lol..but i like wizards so just need to figure out the rest of mt solo group ..i may go physical damage with the rest

I’m level 16 and about 3/4 or so finished with act 2 I think, and I’d have to say magic is really weak compared to physical damage dealers, at least on tactician mode. The damage at cc for warriors and rogues is far superior to mages, rangers can bring the pain as well. I’ve been running Knight, rogue, ranger, mage after getting to the respec mirror. My two mage setup was way weaker
