Is anyone else as excited as I am about this game? I don't know if I can wait until May.

I haven't played D1 or D2, but is this an MMO?

I have played WoW (for a few years) and am doing SWTOR now (a bit off and on) and was wondering how D3 will compare to either of those (play wise).

Mf = magic find.

Didn't I read that all item drops are specific to the player now... Meaning everyone in the game won't be fighting over the same drops?

No. Not by any stretch.

It is nothing like WoW or TOR. It is an action hack and slash RPG

I have a two year old laptop 4GB of RAM and 2.1GHz dual core and integrated graphics chip. Think I'd be able to play it on low settings, if you had to guess.

I have a 2500k with hd Intel3000 graphics and I can play the beta in 720p and low settings. IIRC I was getting ~50 or so average fps.

Will it actually have any kind of decent story ? First game got old quick.

Yes. I will be comparing the two very closely, especially since Runic basically has the key folks from Blizzard North on the team.

This here is a HORODRIC CUBE. And that there is a HORODRIC STAFF. That is all I remember of the story from D2.

I think there may have been some evil devil and his brothers underground up to no good, can't remember.

And the secret cow level!!

Spawning uber Diablo with sojs (lol)

Telebaal after telebaal runs.

And hoping not to die when zoning into duriels chamber.

I will be running on a 2008 MacBook Pro (Lion) 2.1 GHz dual core with 4GB RAM, NVIDIA 8600M GT (512MB). From the gameplay videos on YouTube using the same specs I should be just fine on low-medium settings.

ETA: SC2 is more of a resource hog than D3 will be, and I'm able to run it. Although it did require a lot of tweaking due to a bug Blizzard has yet to address.

Can't wait. Ditto with earlier posters on building a new desktop as well. GTX 600 series FTW.
