Knowing that I like to play survival for survival, I am going to not want too much stuff to help me out.

Yea. I agree with that. I may do a risky castle or something (lava) and the armor/track. Who knows though? May get started and get greedy.

Creative server? Switching to survival? Cool idea!

If there's space: suckmypectus

Same here. If there is space, I'd like to give it a shot. (I've never done creative).

EVERYONE COME! DEATH GOOD! reeessst.

Looking for some runs tonight.

Let's kill stuff.

I have a 56 Ranger and 54 Thief. I'll play either but I prefer the Ranger.

I am lvl 60 and ran a lvl 30 dungeon (my first dungeon) late last week with Stinkbait, etc...

Good times.

So good, we ran it twice.

Any runs planned for this weekend?

I missed the one last night.

Speak up in guild chat with what you want to do, most of the time people will help.

I'm about to start doing that.

So far, I've soloed my way to 50something, ran no dungeons, and barely played WvW.

I'm itching for some guild runs and major killing.

Dollars to doughnuts I'm on tonight after the baby goes to bed.

Also, if you want to do a 5 man dungeon, it is available.

Are there level requirements to dungeons?

Ive only done the solo questing (to almost 40) for my ele, but no dungeons yet.
quote:

The closest is a Water Elementalist.

Yea.

Granted, Ive only run my Ele to level 20 or 21 so far, but the two or three heals I have on water look to be some of the better AoE healing.

Since I run solo leveling so far, I haven't been able to really get used to those tactics yet, but I look forward to it when I am able to start running instances/dungeons with the guild.

Also...leveling tailoring and artificing sucks.

Each weapon your class can use has its own skillset..pretty badass

Yea. I had a one hander and off hand then upgraded to a decent staff and thought, what the hell; this is awesome.

Why do I see some of you logged in but not representing the Guild?

Didn't know I had to do another step after accepting the invite. (former wow player)

/then hit up the gw2 wiki and saw what was up with representing.

On it tonight.

Also for update:

In case it matters:

Doctor Radical is an Asura Elementalist.

May I get one as well.

I'm updating now. Should be done shortly and then I'll pick the server.

Yikes.

I was mining near my pyramid and came across someone else's mine area. There was obsidan everywhere, redstone unmined, and torches lighting the way.

I finally found my way back out and walled up where I came in.

I can only assume it's either Greace's or Illusion's area since they are closest to me but I got paranoid and didn't touch anything.

Minecraft experiment devolves into devastating resource war.

Sweet. If you need any colored blocks, let me know. I have quite the wool collection and factory. I have space to add 3 more colors to the pallet as well.

Wow. Great. Thanks.

I'm not even sure how to add colors, but I would bet that some dark blue or dark colored blocks around the top would work really really well.

You're building the Arc d'Triumphe?

I'm working on it.

The specs I have now are 40m high, 36m across, and 18m deep.

Not sure how to do the arch yet (other than choppy block) but we'll see how the specs work after a few youtube videos this afternoon/evening.

It's the project going on just north of the pyramid.
Nice.

Good to know, neighbor.

Project after the Arc de Triumph:

/ha
Whose area is east of the pyramid and south of Illusion?

I'm impressed with what Illusion has done. Granted, I haven't ventured up north yet, but that tower and sphere thing is pretty sweet.

Both of you are whitelisted.

Awesome. Thanks.

I just played for a bit but am going to stay off the server in case it has to be empty to reset it.
I just bought minecraft on Friday and played most of the weekend doing the singleplayer, but got interested in checking out the multiplayer server stuff.

Edit to remove question previously answered.

Can I get a whitelist?

So just to be sure, we file jointly. So her employer should be able to withhold the full 5000 right?

I am not an accountant and don't want to tell you what "you should be able" to do.

The above is just my story (from this last month or so) and a link to some info.

Am I right and the employer doesn't know what they are talking about or am I missing something?

I called the IRS re the flexible accounts for daycare for couples married filing separate.

2500/each.

I would presume it is 5k if married filing jointly.

Is there a limit for a DCFSA election?
By law, the maximum amount you may allot for a DCFSA is $5,000 per household ($2,500 if married filing separately). You could exceed the $5,000 limit if both you and your spouse work for employers offering an FSA and the combined total of the allotments you each elect for a DCFSA goes beyond the applicable limit of $5,000. So, it is important that you plan carefully.

She never deferred or used a lower payment amount. Any advice on how to move forward?

Assuming they are FFEL loans (backed by feds), she should consolidate them under Direct Lending. (google it).

While the loans are being consolidated (30 days or so) she can request a deferment.

Once the loans are consolidated, she can request an income based repayment program (Income based or income contingent).

This will extend the repayment period beyond 10 years but will provide her more flexibility in monthly expenses.
quote:

Does anyone know how to get a lower rate on student loans?

She can consolidate all of them together. By meeting certain requirements (auto debit and x months paid in a row) she can get a lower interest rate, though not much.

If she wants a lower monthly payment, she can apply for income contingent or income based, but alot of the benefit from the lower rate will depends on whether you have loans or whether you file jointly or separately.

If she works at a 501c3, she can apply for the public service loan forgiveness after 10 years of repayment.

Any advice?

Do an unsubsidized loan.

DO NOT go with a private bank unless you have no other options and your cost of attendance exceeds the maximum federal loan.
quote:

1)consolidate here loans into one payment since she has two servicers. All of mine are with Sallie Mae, so that shouldn't be a problem.
2) I want her to enroll in IBR because I'm not sure if we can afford what I've calculated to be around $2500/month for both our loans, but I should be able to pay around $2200-2300/month.

The same advice I posted in the previous thread works here too:

For your loans:
First, find out if they are FELP loans or private loans (the former are backed by the feds).

If they are FELP loans, google "Direct Loan Consolidation" and do that. Once that gets done, apply for some income based or income contingent repayment plan. This will minimize your monthly payments, but make it take much longer to pay off.

If they are private loans, call Sallie Mae and see if there are different types of loan repayment plans. You cannot consolidate private loans so will be stuck with dealing with SM for the life of the loan.

Added:

Assuming that your wife is working for a non-profit hospital or you are going to work at a non-profit/government, you may be eligible for the public service loan forgiveness program (which forgives outstanding loan amounts after 10 years of repayment). She also may be eligible for forgiveness if she agrees to work in certain, underserved areas.
