Between both D1 and D2, over 4000 hours.
There are numerous raids in D2 I've not run because...life.
I need to find some crews to start running them.
I miss those days of triple clears of all raids from the D1 one days.
During D2, kids got older, had more responsible things to do, didn't get to raid nearly as much. I ultimately only beat the first raid , and the one with all the symbols from pretty early on. Nothing afterwards.

I think the last raid I did was in taken King. I never went flawless in trials but I only ran it solo.

Apparently almost nobody at Bungie had any idea about this and found out from the announcements. Developers were still working on the future dlc’s/expansions they had planned like Shattered Cycle as of yesterday. Never change Bungie. Jesus Christ

i went down the youtube rabbit hole on destiny and stumbled upon this soundtrack. i want to say this was one of the first songs when you went looking for the farm in the edz in base D2. After getting the shite kicked out of you, it seemed pretty appropriate at the time and now with the game shutting down even more so. this game was so fricking good in its prime. sucks.

Between D1 and D2, the music and background sounds/atmosphere is pretty unmatched in gaming IMO.

I played off and on for a solid 11 years, I finally gave up after final shape when they basically sunset all my gear with the weapon and armor tiers. I didn't have the heart to grind again, I only really played crucible anyway.
I have hope for a Destiny 3 but it will probably be a shell of what Destiny was. I'm assuming Bungie will close in the next year.

Yea, my dedication to actually grinding anything pretty much ended then. I'll say the new system i've enjoyed decently well, much more than I thought I would when it was announced, and it hasn't been too difficult getting the higher tier armor sets for builds. The 6/9 update to allow all armor to be tier upgraded will be nice. That being said, it really isn't all that important. I still have plenty of builds that use mostly my old stuff, but over time some new items have replaced things. Ultimately, that stat boosts from the tier 5 vs like tier 3 doesn't amount to that much of a difference in game, unless you really care about min/maxing.
Pretty much now just hop on when I want to, maybe run a dungeon or some seasonal content for a bit or a little pvp, but not chasing the dangling carrot anymore. I've enjoyed using the Frontier for random buildcrafting/testing and seeing what all crazy shite I can come up with.

Destiny will remain probably one of my favorite gaming experiences. I couldn't get into destiny 2 as much and bowed out fairly early after around the first expansion.
Sad to see it sunset still.

This update has been fantastic.
Portal removal and tons of things to do. I've played more this week than I have since the final shape.
Sony are foolish to snuff out this franchise instead of marathon.

Yea I've really enjoyed what they've updated so far. Going to be a pain for a bit as I had finally gotten use to everything they had changed, but the loot system is so much better now. it is raining tier 5's
