Console Controller prices are outrageous

Brand new wireless Xbox controllers were going for $30 at Costco recently

Yeah, controllers are ridiculously overpriced. The only one worth the value is the Switch Pro Controller imo, and that's because it has a 40 hour battery life. The rest run out of juice so damn quick.

while i agree and was thinking the same when i had to buy an extra ps5 controller the other day im not surprised.

compare controllers now to the old days. they are are way more advanced. built in speakers and microphones, gyroscopic abilities, sensitive touch pads, etc. so im not surprised.

that being said, cut all that extra shite out. i dont know bout you all but i dont like any of those "features". the built in speakers especially....iu wear fricking headphones when i game, i cant hear that shite anyway.

For sure, I'm having to replace my PS4 controller because the battery seems to be dead. At this point, I'll just buy the $10 battery and DIY the repair instead.

First party controllers are expensive because third party ones are so bad.

I can't remember using a decent 3rd party controller, ever.

But $82 is nothing compared to some PC mice and keyboards

Definitely some sticker shock when picking up extra joy-con controllers and the new Xbox elite controller but gaming compared to other hobbies like playing guitar, fishing or scuba diving is a bargain.
