Trying to update my desktop to be more gaming friendly. Just recently bought a new graphics card it helped some but not as much as I would like. Can I buy anything else new to help or am I better off buying a new computer for Xmas?

Got to list what you had and what you replaced before we can help. If you are trying to upgrade a 6+ year old computer, you might be better off getting a holiday deal (imo)

Impossible to answer without RAM/CPU info and what GPU did you just buy and for how much?

Yeah it's fine playing pve on about 30 fps but playing pvp it drops to 5-10 fps. Totally unplayable

Oh man that's a pretty up to date pc
I wouldn't invest much more into it because the 7750 is a pretty decent card for moderate gaming, and your processor will most likely bottleneck anything better that you throw in there

Aren't PvP games like GW2 and WoW? Those are very cpu intensive over most games and your cpu probably has a hard time handling them

Yeah it's rough and that's all I play is gw2 and wow. Could I buy like a new CPU or motherboard and update the old one or am I better off just getting something new?

You could upgrade to a Z77 mobo for around $150 and buy an i5 3570K for 200 and with that GPU and ram run pretty much anything flawlessly.

Flawlessly... Eh. Games like GW2, yes, but mw3, skyrim, and bf3, not happening unless you want to play with minimal graphics

What's your budget? I can mock you up something

If I were him, and wanted to upgrade for cheap, I would use that 7750 along side the new AMD APU chips with this mobo. It will allow you to run eyefinity and it's pretty much like having two 7750s crossfired.

You said run anything flawlessly. Just making sure he doesn't expect to try out BF3 on high settings expecting good fps

I was going to suggest the same hybrid xfire

Are these things easy for me to install or will I need to have to bring it somewhere?

I am very intrigued by the possibilities of this set up. Only thing is that they say you really need 1866MHZ or faster ram and also need a little more than 8GB because the APU unit uses the system ram as if it wear ram on a vid card.

It's pretty straight forward and plenty of guides on youtube if you get confused. Newegg has a really good guide you can watch.
