frick it last game against FSU I learned the Wildcat blast is good for at least five yards each time.

Half back dive out of the pistol is broken. I get 10+ rushes of 10 yards or more every game. Then they bring both linebackers up to the LOS and crossers are free completions.

There is a double motion HB toss play out of the gun that is really good right now too. If you have a fast RB, you'll break off some really big runs with it.

how's everyone feeling about the new game? Haven't gotten time to play it yet.

Did they get rid of the 1 drum playing over and over in the menu screens?

Yes, much more options and you can turn off ones you don't want to hear.

I like it so far. Some good improvements gameplay wise over 25 in how movement feels and stuff. Some very cool new plays have been added as well. There will need to be some patches to fix some issues and stuff, but that seems to be fairly standard operating procedures these days, unfortunately.

Getting the new version is worth it for the new menu music alone.

I really like all the settings you can change in dynasty mode with how many transfers teams can have and the likelihood of players staying can be customized to your liking.

Also the gaps between good teams and bad teams seems a lot better than last year and harder to overcome.

Auburn's band did the theme song, just an fyi and I think a couple of the other band tracks. Pretty cool that it isn't just a random band recording.

Agreed. It seems the teams starting out are a lot closer rated and grouped tighter, but a 5-6 rating difference can be pretty significant.

My biggest gripe is that all of the freshmen aren't in it yet so I don't want to start a dynasty that I'll quit whenever they get added

So feeling pretty good.

Also need them to fix the transfer portal. Right now leaving seniors are counting as still on your roster until after week 2 of the transfer portal recruiting which doesnt make sense.

If i have 2 senior QBs leaving and need a QB i miss out on the transfers because the game doesnt recognize them as gone until after players leaving stage.

If it’s 1-1 you can throw it, which is kind of how real football is, and not be scared of a bullshite int. Deep balls, especially in college football, aren’t supposed to be high percentage throws.

Yeah I like how it is now because I like to play Sim. You could hit deep balls far too easily on last year's version.

The only thing I think they didn’t do anything to is screens and play action. I’m playing with La Tech in dynasty so my o line is bad (but so are the d lines I’m playing against) and you get zero time to throw after the play action fake. And my qb still gets hit way to often and you can’t get him to make the correct trajectory throw on running back screens

I think they wanted to 'nerf' the RPO game a bit and make it so there is an actual chance your QB gets hit on them, but as a result actual play action becomes harder to run. The AI mechanics involved in play action are hard to tune because you either make to so the fake has no effect on the defenders, or they bite too often and its unrealistic and overpowered.

Yeah the transfer portal is so broken right now in general based on what I've seen online. They wanted to make it more active, and as a result you have total chaos. Which I guess is closer to real life than last year's

I think the problem with play action isn't with the DB side of things. They focus on that too much. It is on the DL play. Pretty much every time you call a PA pass, they pass rush hard, which gives you no time to throw. They never react like it could be a run play, which is supposed to be the point. They crash hard upfield and around the edge, leaving what would be massive holes. That is the tweak that should be made, not how often DB's/Lb's bite on the fake.

Yea, I reduced the transfer liklihood a lot for my dynasty. There will still be plenty, but where the starting tuning was, was a bit too over the top.

I didn’t change it because that’s kind of how it is. But my leading rusher had like 1700 yards and a bunch of TD’s and entered the portal because brand recognition was a deal breaker.

That seems entirely reasonable these days with Louisiana tech. The dude went off so he high tailed it for a better team.

But I also did land 94 overall Ashton Stamps in the portal

Yea, this is kind of why I lowered it, at least for early on in the dynasty, depending on where you are. Some of the things that would cause a guy to transfer aren't really realistic. I think where I have it, there will still probably be like somewhere around 10-12 or so transfers, but may adjust for the next season. I think somewhere around there is realistic.

For sure. I'm mostly tweaking it based on total numbers in a given year. If i'm at an SEC school and we have a great year, a starter that balled out probably shouldn't be transfering for something like that.

Only went through the menu options so far and just looked through settings.

Two complaints:

1) the font size, for whatever reason, is much smaller. I have a 65" tv and if I'm more than eight feet away from it, I can't read shite. I can barely see the names but positions, measurables, etc are fricking TINY. This game isn't meant to be played in a living room.

2) they still haven't fixed the appearance menu for player edits. When you enter the appearance option, there's a submenu that has ONE option: physique. Why have a separate menu just for one option? When you enter appearance, you should automatically be brought to the physique page.

I went heavy home schedule and avoided toughest places to play for that very reason. Stadium pulse is broken.

Currently 6-1, 4-0 in the MAC with Kent State in year one with aTm coming to me. Only “good” win was FSU.

aTm 12th which is good, I’m 6-1 and don’t have a single vote to be ranked.

For real. Played @ Oklahoma last night and at no point during the game, even when I had a very big lead, was I able to see any of the routes or player icons when previewing the play I called. Every single play it was madness.

I played @ LSU and I didn’t have any problem snapping the ball like I’ve read about and I was able to quiet the crowd with sustained drives.
