switch them around location wise.
if your working on one mortar in the middle. pull it out of your base and put in your other mortar. so on and so forth.

Makes sense. But I only have 1 mortar.
Seriously though, with the way I've been getting drubbed and losing trophies, I'm pretty hesitant to upgrade any defensive units without a shield up.

Well you will get to the point it won't matter if shield is up or down because it will take 3-6 days to upgrade anyway

Ok frick Wallbreakers. I set Giants right in front of a wall to distract the cannons and these assholes run around the base to blow up a higher level wall. WTF?

True, but right now I can upgrade some things over 12 hours, so the shields still matter at this juncture.
What level do you all recommend I make my walls? They're all at level 3 now, should I work to upgrade?

ECDuecen is close to your level and I put their walls mixed with lvl 2/3 through out it... Of course that TH is 5 and being upgraded to 6 now then I can upgrade the walls to 4

FYI guys, those archers you guys sent to my castle did work last night. Some guy had his troops set up like he was storming the beaches of Normandy, only to be met with TD clan archers. It was funny.
