People will start doing "no Maelle" runs before long because it would be so shocking not to have her in the party.

Another major milestone passed for the game.

12 days in and they have surpassed 2 million copies SOLD. Again, this isnt including gamepass or some bullshite ubisoft PR like "players engaged" but actual units sold/

Impressive. I was reading some of the user reviews on metacritic and it’s just crazy the love. Word of mouth will always be the best form of advertising…always….and it’s free. Just make a great product and watch. It’s been a cool story to watch unfold. I love the game very much.

It's nearly a perfect game. There are definitely glitches and issues here and there, but they're so minor that it's hardly even worth discussing. Nothing has affected my gameplay to the level of affecting my opinion of the game.

I agree. Which is why I just go ahead and call it perfect.

Obviously perfect doesn’t exist, but boy…9.7/9.8 (factor in the haters who don’t play) user…which is significantly higher than the next..close enough.

It's about as close to perfect as we're going to get, but it is hard to ignore the hexga in my game that seems to randomly show up at various dungeons in the middle of the sky or stuck in the floor. Couldn't be interacted with and wouldn't even try to fight me, so no big deal other than just looking funny.

I was starting to think there was a plot point coming with him that no one was talking about.

Haven’t come across that one yet lol

The only thing so far for me has been getting really close to getting stuck on rocks.

But I’m still not even to the half way point.

I've had this happen a few times but I think they must have some sort of automatic "unsticking" thing in place because even when I'm certain I have gotten stuck my character somehow gets out of it.

To me this game really shines in how they even handle the small things. Like it would have been so easy to make Monoco a total joke character, and in some ways he is, but they made him into a complete character that provides comic relief but still completely fits within the storyline of the game. I completely understand his motivations and why he's involved. So many games completely fail at this.

Absolutely, his interactions with Verso is prime writing and voice acting. It is refreshing.

The first patch fixed this. I got stuck prior to that one on a rock by the beach near Esquie’s. Thankfully the auto save is great so I only lost like 2 minutes of gameplay.

I do agree that it’s a near perfect game though. A couple of minor complaints I have are a lack of side quest journal, although there aren’t a ton of side quests, and not being able to go directly from whatever menu I’m in back to the game. I don’t know why games don’t let you hit the menu button and go back to the game no matter where you are. It seems like such a simple thing to do but almost no games implement it.

Finished the Only Up. Took 4-5 tries I think. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Playing around and leveling verso a bit. Trying to get a feel for him. Have been investing in Lune and Maelle but afraid to invest in others until I get a better idea at who my 3rds gonna be.

Little tip and info for verso

It takes 3 hits to get to C rank, then 5 to B rank, then 7 to A rank, then 15 to S rank.

The best weapon to use until you can break the damage cap is the one that has low damage but lets him move again after base attack. Use pintos and lumina that start him with as much AP as possible and that returns him as much AP, as well as combo attack so his base attack hits 2-5 times.

If you set it up correctly you can usually get to S rank in one turn depending on the enemy makeup using free aim shots and basic attacks

I use verso exclusively for mark and burn, and then use Monoco and Maelle for damage.

Course, he does a lot more damage after downing the optional endgame bosses.

Thanks TD. I’ll try your advice.

Monoco isn’t hitting hard for me yet…he’s more of a tank/support. He was absolutely vital in me defeating Brog or whatever I can’t remember its name.

Anyways i pretty much used his every turn to load up shields on the team. Plus I have like 1/3rd or less of his moves learned. So I haven’t been leaning towards him as the 3rd but it isn’t because of dmg…yet.

Monnoco is really the best support character imo.

He is the only character that can apply the powerless debuff naturally. Sciel can also apply it along with the other 2 main debuffs but it requires her level 2 gradient attack, He is good to pair with verso because verso has skills that do more damage against powerless enemies. This can reach mega numbers once you get the painter picto that breaks damage cap.

This page Revisiting old areas is good to follow after you visit monoccos station. It shows all the previous paint break locations and takes you back through the old areas so you can collect a bunch of skills for monocco. Also the enemy with a face in front of the coastal cave that just jumps on you is a good skill to learn for him, it applies defenseless.

There is also an old lumiere revisited tab there for after you go there the first time which will help you find the chromatic boss there you cant reach on your first visit (it has a skill for monocco.) Generally it is a good idea to keep monoco in your party for fights to get skills a lot of mini bosses offer them. If you start one and they dont have the indicator he can learn something you can just restart.

This is a very late in act 2 boss so just Skip to 2:18 to avoid cutscenes and you can see the skills I have set for him. You can see the skill that applies powerless. and first skill I use is the one I described above is the one you get from the face boss on the overworld in front of coastal cave

Monoco has a pretty cool shield breaking ability with decent damage. He's on my B team though.

Lune's Lightning Dance is nasty with the Roulette Lumina.

Esqiue just got the fly mechanic where I'm at. Story is getting good.
