Whenever I'm on TD, I check this board just to see if a BOTW thread popped back up. I've been playing since February. With a wife and 1.5 year old, I probably on get in about 3-5 hours a week. I am not close to bored with this game. I am actually doing everything I can to avoid beating it. I know others have suggested going into Hyrule Castle before you beat too much to make it challenging, but I just don't want to kill the game too soon. I think I'll lose the drive to play once I beat Gannon. I'm still amazed that I am finding new places that I have never been.

I'd make the same recommendation that others have, just keep exploring. It's fun feeling like you can go wherever you want and there will be something to gain there.

The two trials I finished do a good job making you think, so I feel like they set the tone.

The first 4 shrines are a cakewalk though. Once you get off the plateau, the shrines get much harder, especially when you get to the Champion’s Ballad.

Just don’t enter the Sanctum then. It clearly shows you on the map where Ganon is, so just ignore that room.

Yep. It is worth it just for the Hylian shield alone.

Man you will have so much fun with this game.

Quit being pussies and go get the master sword. That is always my main focus. Just need the hearts which dont require much weapon skill.

There are like 700 hours in a month lol

It sucked me in.

Same thing happened with FO3, FO4, FC4 and W3. I did about 100hrs with a 50hr work week within the first month. When open world games have depth to their world's lore it consumes me. Also have an issue with reading every fckking piece of paper.

Also to the OP, get a Stamina container over hearts your first time. You’re going to get killed frequently regardless, but you’ll need to climb a lot of shite.

Stamina>Health for a good bit. There's an option for you trade them off for the other option later so it's not a massive commitment if you decide you want to go for the Master Sword later. You can always just throw your upgrades into health for that, then switch them back to stamina.

It’s the beat way to kill guardians early on(and later for that matter). You get a shield (even a pot lid will work) and hit I think Y (or maybe it’s another button) right before you are hit by the laser from the guardian and it will shoot it back at then if you time it right. It is very tricky at first but eventually you get the hang of it.

If you get good at parry then the game becomes easy.
