How about just fix the ability to cheat? This ain’t saving the game that’s lost 60%+ of their players base
This is without comment on the dozens of other bugs, dogshit map, dogshit gun and attachment system, dogshit accessories, etc., etc

This shouldn't be hard. Even randomized memory locations for attributes are easily found on PC, which is how WeMod can help me survive one game after another to begin with. These developers are fricking lazy. If a critical location gets modified by a non approved process, crash the game. I've seen it done before.

Too many Gen Z-ers watch Twitch and those Twitch streamers influence their viewers to play the game and purchase $25 store bundles for player/weapon skins they don't need. The problem is those players need to be good for viewing retention. So, Activision lets them cheat. Or so the conspiracy goes.

It is still the most played game on PS and Xbox. Steam and twitch numbers are not everything.

I wouldn't say its dead. I still play it nightly and there's no issues getting in to games with different players instantly. The camo grind is real, but I have seen a ton of aimbot hacking. I stay out of ranked because of this.

The game is still very popular. The PC community just lives in their own world.
It does have a huge cheater problem. Which keeps streamers from wanting to play it. And it has taken a huge hit but it still is very popular on console.

It has. But it is still far from a "dead game:"
I am not sure how your friend group matters to this.
Me and 4 guys play ranked multi multiple times a week. Which is pointless to the argument..
Numbers like this show why they relented on the cross play off feature. If PC is bailing they might as well let their bigger fanbase play without cheaters.
Note: We dont see numbers from the more popular COD launcher on PC.

most surprising game on those lists to me is Rocket League. I thought it all but dead about a year ago.

It was a free PS+ Essential game this month. Plus, you get PlayStation Star points for playing a monthly PS+ Essential free game.

Yup, “COD HQ”
I’m not sure if this was intentional or not but it does a great job masking the true metrics for each COD title. And I don’t know a single person on consoles who likes launching the COD HQ application only to launch another COD application for a specific title. dumb.

Because the PC folks lose their minds every time they try a new anti cheat software.
cross play is a scourge, I hope more games follow. Battlefield V was so nice on playstation only servers.
