There is another pic of that same plaque, some Blizzard employees went out and covered it up to show their disgust. They took a pic and tweeted it. Hopefully their employees revolt internally.
BlizzCon is coming up soon too, I hope many of the attendees are decked out in pro-Hong Kong stuff and also call out Blizzard every chance they get.

quote:For those who did not know, a Chinese man was the International Head of Interpol and officed in Paris,France. At the same time that Kashoggi got murdered by the Saudi's, this Head of Interpol simply vanished while traveling by train to visit his wife back in China. The Head of Interpol, poof!
Lucky he wasnt jailed or disappeared, executed, and cannibalized also TBH.
In that order.
Shortly after crossing into China there are no further records of his existence except a supposed resignation letter and statement from China that he was being detained and under investigation for bribery (issued more than 11 days after Chinese law requiring notice to family within 24 hours). 40 years policing experience and went, poof.

I don't really see much of anyone, left or right, who is taking Blizzard's (China's) side on this one.
I don't think the NBA or Blizzard realize what they are risking with domestic consumers. Do you know how bad you have to frick up to get both Republicans and Democrats to agree with each other in the way they are doing right now?

It does seem like the first issue in a long while that everyone agrees on.

The shitshow on the NBA side continues, and reddit is still absolutely hammering the frick out of Blizz on this.
It now continues with Apple making an arse of themselves, albeit in much less dramatic fashion

I did, and still do. I tend to keep up with the news involving gigantic authoritarian governments doing gigantic authoritarian government things.

And who gives a shite if this was brought to the attention to some people because of hobbies they enjoy. Awareness is awareness and it is a good thing. For somebody (sic) who seems to always take the side of people "wronged", it is strange to see this take.

The circus continues in Hearthstone.
Team supports HK during stream, and their broadcast gets axed.
Blizzard is really determined to keep shooting themselves in the foot on this one.
On a sidenote, Blizzcon is at the beginning of November, and if these recent events are any indicator, it should be quite s p i c y.

Epic games has announced they would not ban a player for making a similar statement.
Epic good.
Blizzard BAD!

Yeah, uh-huh. Did they consult with Tencent before they made that statement?

Lol does tencent have a stake? I just saw the IGN tweet about it so I have no idea.

Not just a stake, but a mighty hefty 48% at that.

Doesn’t look like it matters.

Doesn’t look like it matters.
For the record, I would hope that Epic is sincere in this and stands their ground come what may.

Whatever. With how horrified everyone has been to say a word about this I am glad to see Sweeney show some backbone.
