So Borderlands is free if you are a ps3 + subscriber. Should i play the first one, or just jump rt into the second one?

Sorry I am a noob and only got to play through the first main story quest last night. What are the gold keys and what are people talking about waiting to open with them?

Hmm. I did complete it but my save files not corrupted. Hope that's not it.

I do not have a save file for BL1 but do have 3 keys. I signed up for shift under the extras at the main menu. It will send you a confirmation email and you just register with them. When I logged on the next time, it gave me 3 keys total. Don't know why or how but it says I have 3. I'm eager to use at least one.
toosleaux: Keys are for golden chest in Sactuary. Suppose to have rare weapons inside. The high the level you are the better the weapons.

Can anyone explain why you obtain ammo for weapons you do not carry? For instance, I have not and prolly will never carry a shotgun, yet I get shells?

You are missing the boat on some pretty badass guns. You can take birds out easily with shotguns.

You can hold every ammo type until you get the max you can carry. Also, if you're playing co-op, you can pick up any ammo type that anyone in your party is missing minus grenades. Ammo and money pickups are shared.
I found one of those rare orange guns early in the game. The problem, though, is that I've leveled up so far that I am now finding blue and green versions that are stronger. It was worth over $1,000 so I sold it to feed my gambling addiction.

Is solo fun? I want to get it, but it would be Xbox. Most of y'all have PC version right?

Both. Come to think of it, I am not sure if I am getting the ammo in a party or solo.
