I probably have more memories playing Revenge with friends but No Mercy was the more complete game and probably the best from THQ on the N64.

up until world tour and revenge, wrestling games had mostly sucked. I don't think the PS1 ever had a good wrestling game

Yeah, I agree. WCW vs NWO was my first wrestling game, and it has a special place in my memory. However, Wrestlemania 2000 had so much more to it. I loved create a wrestler with all the moves to add to their repertoire.

the controls for these games were so good.
Easy as hell to do a special move, the grappling interface, powering up your special move bar, great games.

I loved Raw on Genesis because you could beat up the ref and they'd actually attack you after awhile.

WCW vs the World was underrated and the Smackdown games were pretty good. Warzone aged poorly but my friends and I spent a ton of time with it.

Revenge but probably only because it is the definitive WCW video game.
I also really like Wrestlemania 2000.
I would say more recent WWE games have surpassed them though, so it's all about the time period.

It was so great. We had custom belts and title fights where the loser had to delete their character. I had to delete one that had gone unbeaten for months. It was the most pain ive ever felt in gaming.

man I was so excited for this game before it came out...then I got it and pretty much hated it from the jump. It was klunky and repetitive.

It seemed like Western developers really struggled to figure out how to translate a wrestling match into gameplay. All they really needed to do was to take a look at the Fire Pro Wrestling franchise over in Japan.

Ah cmon! That’s the best part, the music. The arena / ambient music is the best along with the menus. Simple yet so deep.
