I’m sad they killed off titanfall. One of my favorite shooters of all time.

Have they officially canned the series? I know they had talked about having something for 3 but a) it wasn't anything groundbreaking, and b) Apex Legends, in their opinion, negated the reason to do another Titanfall, which makes me hate BR games even more.

I must be showing my age or something, because it saddens me that 1942 hasn’t received more love on here.

Getting to recreate D-Day or Midway was fricking awesome.

I had Day of Defeat for that. I missed out on the early BF days. I think my first experience was BF 2 on PC and BF 2 MC on the xbox.

Check out some of this video.

Graphics definitely dated, but it was the shite back in the day.

Really looks like they shared player models with DoD, at least with DoD Source.

Looks a lot smoother than DoD. Miss these kinds of games for sure. I could waste a whole day on these.

It was amazing when you pulled off a successful D Day win by pushing the Germans back.

It was a time when the MP was simpler.

You picked a class and every one had the same choices and starting point.

All based on skill.

Battlefield: Vietnam was pretty badass as well.

One of the first MPs with helicopters that I remember playing.

I don’t know if they did it officially or not, but you think we’d have heard something about a new one by now if it had any legs.

I remember being mesmerized storming the beaches in Medal of Honor: allied assault. Spatial surround sound with a 2.1 speaker system was next level at the time.

Battlefield Vietnam was one of the first games I remember having licensed music. I think the chopper speakers played fortunate son in the background when you flew around.

Decent breakdown. It isn't dead, but the planets aren't aligned yet for EA to give them Respawn the green light.

So probably won't happen. I might just download TF2 on PC again.

Battlefield 1942 was the GOAT.

All the others are just wannabes.

Man, when 1942 came out it was unlike any other war game at the time. Huge multiplayer sandbox maps on Conquest. Good luck if all the vehicles left you lol.

Forgotten Hope Mod added so much more to the WW2 experience...

Desert Combat spawned a standalone DICE game (can't remember the name) and eventually led to Project Reality, which that team morphed into Squad.

A 2003 CNN article about DC.

It is and I won’t argue with anyone who says BF3 is either.

I just preferred BC2. I just enjoyed the gameplay and the maps a tad bit more than BF3.

DICE was rolling.

I thought BF4 was just avg and was not at all close to BF3. And shite, I thought BF4 was wayyyy better than the most recent release.

At the end of the day…if this is a return back to the BC2,BF3,……even BF4 days….. I’d be happy.

Trying not to get my hopes up but this leaked footage is tickling my balls a bit.
