Im used to Team Deathmatch from the CODs. It appears Team Deathmatch on BF1 is not the mode of choice?
LOL. This game is nothing like TDM on call of duty. I still play Team deathmatch on black ops 1 and 2 not anything after that. For all the guys pumping this game about realism i find it funny it takes 3 to 4 shots to kill someone on this game

If you're playing by yourself, you're doing it wrong. This game, more than any other game I've ever seen, does not reward individuals playing as individuals.

The only thing about multiplayer which is driving me nuts is the mg15. Thing is way op

Yep. You are heavily rewarded for playing your class. K/D is not the focus of this game, it is completing the objective. You will have the most fun finding a class you enjoy and playing like you're actually in that class.

Yea, the recent update made it into a damn automatic rail gun

They also tipped the balance way over into the attackers now for Operations. Pre-update I had a lot more games that the defenders were able to win. That barely seems to happen anymore.

Damn. Must have been playing with a group of specials last night. Lost two rounds to the defenders.

I typically hate FPS and I can say BF1 is the most fun I have had in years playing a MP FPS.

Loved the Battlefield series, and loving BF1. There are certainly a few bugs, primarily the one where the screen is black except for the HUD when you load into a game (not sure what is do fricking hard about patching this). That being said, I find the medic rifles to be a bit difficult to get used to. Requiring 4 shots out of a 10 round magazine to kill someone leaves absolutely no possibility of running into a room and clearing out 2+ guys. If you are good, and lucky, you can take out 3 guys between the rifle and pistol. Miss a shot or two, and it's game over.

I used medic for awhile when the game came out. Got it to lvl 10 then switched to assault. You should never run into a building by yourself as a medic to avoid that exact scenario. Important to stick with the squad in a general area and then I would pair up with an assault guy to run around with.

My son plays this game, and I was initially interested in playing it myself... until I saw all the automatic weapons in a WWI game.
Come on, man. I get that portable machine guns are fun, but a WWI game should have waaaaay more single-shot bolt action rifles than fully automatic weapons for infantry. At least regulate the number of them per side.
There's not much difference between this "WWI game" and any other Battlefield iteration, as a result. It's just run around, spray bullets, and get sprayed. Die in 30 seconds. Respawn, repeat.
I just don't get how that is fun. This is exactly why most multiplayer games are bullshite. There's no real consequence to anything. Which leads to no strategy. Which leads to mindless chaos. I really think Battlefield missed an opportunity here to create something different, as opposed to something that just looks different.

If you have a problem with this, I can kiiinda understand. They have to walk a line between being historically accurate and having a fun game that people will buy and play for a long time.

But this is just not true at all. Knowing that you havent even played the game really just makes all of this a pretty ignorant statement.

I dunno, man. I freely admit that not playing the game doesn't give me the perspective of a player.
But I have watched A looooooooooooot of Battlefield 1. I mean, a fricking ton of it. It's on the TV in my living room every single night. I trust my judgement.

If you do ever play it, Id recommend Conquest (personal favorite) or Operations. Its more objective based and requires maneuvering with your squad to achieve success. Just running around and killing dudes does nothing.

I like that, though.
