Are those “Last War” ads on YouTube the dumbest marketing campaign in video game history?

I mean, I’m getting bombarded with them from Homelander, and the developers openly admit that they ripped off people with their previous game and it wasn’t real. Well I relogged into it and same fricking game, and then deleted it.
Just imagine if Nintendo sold a fake Mario or Zelda game and then openly bragged about it saying we made the real game this time all not to make it again. Deserves to sink.

I’m not convinced it’s actually homelander and I feel like they AI’d him on there to boost downloads.

Yep I remember watching a video recently on fake games and it was very interesting. Another fake game people probably see a lot of ads for is Evony the King's return (or something like that).
Show you these cool videos of a game that you can see yourself playing, then you log in and play a couple rounds and then you're taken to this generic pay to win base building game where the developer hopes to hook 1 out of 1000 people and addict them into become whales.

Agreed. Evony is absolutely horrible at posting fake gameplay. It's so bad (and blatant) that it should be considered false advertising.
