Doing both of these weren't BAD things, I think they were good for the game. I just don't think they saw the complications of what would happen when they did both.
I wonder if it would have been the same result if they did the squish FIRST, then change level scaling.

I did want to add that adding the level scaling to WoW was pretty cool. I leveled a warrior to 40 something before prepatch and did a few of the older zones I hadn't done in a while - Redridge Mountains, Duskwood, a lot of STV. It was a good time and full of nostalgia.

Last good expansion for WoW was Lich King. MMOs have been dying since 2010

Outside of the legendary debacle, Legion was pretty solid.
Outside of WoD and Cata, the other 4 expansions were pretty good IMO at least.

I've logged in a hundred or so hours playing Left 4 Dead 2. Why? Well its a fun game with a healthy fan base modding things for it... but mostly because a game takes about an hour to play. That is pretty much all the time I usually have to play now a days.
Its Left 4 Dead and NCAA Football for me because I can squeeze a game into that narrow window of time I have.

Last expansion I really played and the high water mark.
For me MMOs died with CoH/CoV in 2012. I moved on from WoW by then.

Yes, I think so. The ones that already exist are doing fine, but there's no influx of new games on the horizon to replace them.

Especially considering what a fail Cataclysm was. I really enjoyed MoP. The raids were fantastic.

MoP wasn't bad at all. I was just done with WoW at the time. That was what, 2012ish?

Can confirm they nerfed mob hp by 24% for all baddies 1-100. That helps with leveling.
For everyone planning to play BFA what faction will you play? Anyone switching? I am. Was alliance for BC and Wotlk..then rolled horde shaman and played that through legion. Switching back to alliance and deciding between Monk/Priest.
I think MMO genre is dying, but I think WoW will be the game that "turns out the lights" on the current iteration of the genre.
A buddy and I were talkin about whats next for the genre and we both agreed it is VR. When someone can make some version of the Oasis in real life to suck people further away from real world problems..thats when mmo takes the next leap forward.

It seriously feels like a close family member died. Even today it still hurts. Very lame but idc. Meant life long friends in that game.

eh - ill play wow till the end. pre-xpac week 1 was a disappointment, but its letting me get upgrades on alts I haven't played a lot, so im ok with it.
having played early alpha and some Beta, i really like how the Xpac has fleshed out - can't wait for it to release.
and this week, the Nelfs join the Gnomes and Worgens as homeless hobo's.
