Anyone still playing WoW?

Looking for a guild to do some raiding and mythic plus in. Would like people around my age 30 that also have a love for college football so we have other things to talk about. Would be open to either alliance or horde.

I have a buddy who is talking me into getting back playing. That's the reason why I'm researching and trying to build me a gaming computer. I'm still probably a month out from being able to play but hes on now everyday.

I still play but super casual. In a pretty low-key guild on Lightbringer-Alliance. They have a 2 night raid team and an alt raid team (Friday nights). They don't push mythic raids, just heroic.
Mostly we are all drinking on the Friday night raid and talking shite over discord. Not many college football fans that I know of, I think there's a Ohio State fan or two.

Yeah it really isn't. I'm hoping to find some friends to play with to hopefully put a spark back in the game but the game to me was at it's best in wrath and mop. I liked vanilla but was young and dumb at the time and really sucked at the game then. Lol

WOW is only as good as the company of your guild. My high point was end of Wrath to LFR patch of Cata, because I played Tank where I could auto-enter dungeons for guildmates and knew the fights. When the Guild owner shut it down and left for another server, the game died for me.
I found another guild at the end of Legion, and was in a few raids through BFA, but I stopped when I realized no one was talking except on raid night. Then they moved the raid up an hour and I’ve had significantly less fun.
The best content currently is running Mythic Dungeons, which unless you play a tank or healer, you’re gonna have a bad time unless you have friends

I prefer Neverwinter. Completely F2P...it just takes longer to advance.

Blizzard has almost completely removed the need for guilds, which in return has killed their game.
Guilds were borderline frats/family during Van/BC/Wrath.

Blizz had pulled me back in with Legion, but I unsubbed a couple of months ago. BFA is boring and because of the way they've set the game up, WoW is only as good as the current patch... which sucks.

I loved legion but, never could get into BFA. I'm just waiting for WoW classic to release this summer at this point.
