eah, I get that. I saw the videos of the mod. But my thoughts are that the game should have been developed in 3rd. Anyway....

I think some of the narrative design would have suffered in 3rd person, but that's just personal preference

15 or so hours in. Decent game. I can definitely feel the Witcher vibes and I'm glad I played that first. The beginning is kind of a slog, but the story is getting decent. Johnny popping in and out is a bit annoying, but I get it. I like that they can just Venmo me when a job is complete instead of having to go collect. The cars operate kinda like Roach. You would think they could get someone to tune the driving. I don't mind that I paid 30 bucks for it. Debating on the DLC once I finish the main.

Reminder that the massive 2.0 update drops in 48 hours, which will include significant updates to vehicles.

Finished it this weekend. Did most of the side quests. I believe I'm level 42 now. Gotta say it was super gratifying finishing off Adam Smasher with a blow to the head from the dildo club. The game got ridiculously easy though once I switched over to a Sandevistan Monowire build.

I bought it through GOG. It's a little annoying that the update is hours away and no pre-download is taking place. Or at least I can't tell if it's doing anything.

According to CD Projekt community manager Lilayah, the 2.0 update will be available "close to the end" of a celebratory livestream on September 21, which begins at 4pm CEST. If the livestream lasts an hour, that means you can expect the patch to drop at or a little before 8am Pacific on Thursday.

I'll try my best to give performance impressions on 2.0 patch.

After that? Meh, I'll probably wait to buy.

Edit: update started.

My (not exactly rocket science) working theory is that update 2.0 is a trial run on their proposed systems for their next CP2077 game. This lets them iron out any kinks that might have tarnished a future release. It also (hopefully) lets them get some goodwill and excitement back regarding the IP.

I genuinely hope both 2.0 and PL are successful, as this is an awesome IP, and it would be a shame to see it go to waste.

I'm having a bit of fun with the game. I don't how far from finished the main storyline I am, but I'll get PL once I am. I still want to do all of the side jobs and gigs too, so it may be a bit before I get it.

Got through the tutorial but had to put it down. Pretty fun. Feels good. I like the shooting mechanics.

Pretty excited

Is anyone staring a 2.0 playthrough before the expansion?

So uh, path tracing seems pretty demanding.

I haven’t decided yet. Fortunately/unfortunately, I won’t be able to play for another couple of weeks, so I should have a fair amount of data to work with by that point.

This game is sick. Love it.

It will be the nicest looking game my ryzen 5 1600 / GTX 1070 plays just happy I hit the minimum reqs.

Anyone else on 2.0

What perks are good

My initial thoughts are that Stealth (sneaking, non lethal takedowns) is probably really strong, if you have the patience for it.

Going in guns a blazing is fun too though

If you're on a Nvida card, make sure you do dlss swapper to get the right one. I and many people got the old dlss versions. Had to change it.

I just fired up a 2.0 playthrough. I had played maybe three hours on launch before I gave it a break, picked it up for the first time a few months ago when I started this thread. Glad I'll be able to weave in Phantom Liberty at some point.

I’m starting my first character. Bought the game not long after launch but never made it to the opening heist. Can’t say I remember much from my first attempts, but it feels more alive from what I do remember. Not sure what to do with skills and attributes. Been putting them mainly into Cool, with the rest in Tech and Reflex. Going for the slo-mo chain headshot skills. Most of the builds I have seen only show the end result so I’m not sure what order I should be assigning attributes as I level. Only just now got the opening title credits so pretty early still

FYI I think Cool is considered the shittiest of the attributes. Unless it specifically suits your playthrough.
