Agreed. I don't know if they nerfed how cars drive on purpose, but even in the desert in the initial intro mission, it was a pain, let alone in Night City. Splatter one pedestrian, and here comes the fuzz!

same...just finished the story over the weekend and have cleared everything except 1 vehicle and 1 apartment.
Also, there is nothing left to do in Heywood but for whatever reason I don't have the trophy for clearing all of the NCPD scanners and gigs in that zone.

Did you turn on the npd scanner on the map? I didn't even realize it was there for the longest time

I turned everything on once I started focusing on clearing it all. There are no more light green icons on the screen so I'm curious if I fricked something up at one point.
Now that I think about it, it might be because I fricked up the Delamain quest very early on. It took me to this area under a bridge and I realized I was way underpowered at the time. I decided to walk away from the area thinking I could revisit it later on but it basically said "you failed" and hte quest went away. If that quest originates in Heywood then it's likely the reason why I didn't get the trophy.

I did the same thing and failed the mission. Reloaded a save and ran them over with my car
And that does appear to be your problem, btw: LINK
Eta: And that not only sucks due to the lost achievement, but that questline is one of the most interesting in the entire game, in my opinion :/

And I just learned about it. When the expansion drops I will have something else to do!

Currently, the release date for the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update remains uncertain. However, according to Marcin Momot, Global Community Director at CD Projekt Red, the 2.0 patch will be released this week.

That reminds me: for those who already own the game, don’t be surprised if your CPU usage and temps shoot through the roof with 2.0. Sounds like they have made code level changes to better utilize more cores: LINK

Good, I paid for the CPU, I want it used. Watercooling CPUs is also awesome.
It was hard to wrap my head around why my data center director wanted to monitor low CPU usage in addition to high CPU usage as a young buck. I figured it out when I saw how much money we sent to HP for hardware. Better the CPU than the GPU (aircooled.)

I just bought this on GOG. I only have about 4 hours in but why isn't this in 3rd person? First person just seems weird for this type of game. Not a deal breaker and I'll get used to it, but for some reason I thought it was in 3rd.

Always been first person. In fact, some early mods came out to switch it to third person, and let’s just say that the animations were definitely never intended to be seen
But on a practical note, the game is very much intended to be played in first person. Without going into detail, there are parts of the visual narrative that wouldn’t work in third person.

2.0 coming out on the 21st. PL still being released on the 26th.

Very, very good. Watched it all the way through in Japanese with English subs. Currently watching it again with the wife with the English dub. Pros and cons of each, but enjoyed/enjoying both.
Eta: and for anyone who hasn’t watched, it’s ten episodes at about 25m each. Actually a relatively small time commitment to get through.

I didn't know this was a thing, but I may watch. One of the things that kept me from Anime was the total lack of music in Gundam, etc., when I lived there. It was just odd. I'll give it a shot based on your quasi-rec.

Japanese is the “original” language of the anime, but considering English is the primary language of Night City, you actually lose a little with the Japanese, like the regional accents. Beyond that, you have the standard preferences saying that the English is too wooden or the Japanese is over acted, etc.

Yeah, I get that. I saw the videos of the mod. But my thoughts are that the game should have been developed in 3rd. Anyway....
15 or so hours in. Decent game. I can definitely feel the Witcher vibes and I'm glad I played that first. The beginning is kind of a slog, but the story is getting decent. Johnny popping in and out is a bit annoying, but I get it. I like that they can just Venmo me when a job is complete instead of having to go collect. The cars operate kinda like Roach. You would think they could get someone to tune the driving. I don't mind that I paid 30 bucks for it. Debating on the DLC once I finish the main.
