I pretty much play nothing but road to the show. My player is in his 3rd year and on hall of fame I’ve hit 49 dongs by the all star break. Is online harder than ai hof?

I watch a couple of the prominent YouTube guys who play online (pitching rebel, Koogs, McGunski, YourFriendKyle, KevinGohd) and every indication seems to be that online at higher ranks is pretty competitive. I’ve gotten mulched the few times I’ve tried to play online, so I stick to crushing 80 dingers a season in RTTS like the filthy casual I am.

The guys I listed above are all pretty fun watches and occasionally give good tips on how to play online. Kevin is not as good as the other guys I listed, but he’s fun to watch fail over and over again at going 12-0 in BR.

I used to be a RTTS only player but got really into Diamond Dynasty the last 2 years. There are a few offline Diamond Dynasty modes like Conquest, Showdown and Moments that are really fun. I play almost only DD nowadays. Building your team is so fun. You can build a really good team without spending any money on stubs or packs. The amount of free content is insane.

Ranked Seasons and Battle Royale can be more difficult online.

Events are really fun and challenging. They mix them up throughout the season. In June they had a Moonshot event where you had common RHP vs any lefty batters then the next event was common LHP vs any righty batters. Most games turned into a HRD and it was a blast.

Same, I can't hit for shite if it's not on an easier difficulty level.

In my rookie season with the Marlins. With 15 games to go, I've racked up 83 HR's and 206 RBIs. I'm batting .561 and my only real weak spot is base running/stealing. I've easily lost my team 3 games because I try to be too aggressive because of my speed and I get caught stealing.

I think after this season I will jump into Diamond Dynasty for a new challenge. I can't imagine playing another entire RTTS season. I've played every game and it's a freaking grind.

I’m strictly a franchise guy.

During the hours I would have normally watched baseball, I played the show this year with a Braves franchise. Played every regular season game and postseason game.

Most of my stats were pretty realistic but I absolutely sucked at hitting with RISP, I sucked drawing walks, and my SB % was horrible. I hit a shite ton of homers though. I think the team finished 2nd in MLB behind the Yankees with about 270. I made trades to improve offensive depth throughout the year and added JBJ and Matt Carpenter. Freeman ended up with 71 dongs and Acuna had over 50. Albies, Carpenter and Ozuna all had 30+. My main issue was that most of my homers were solo shots.

Ended up losing in the World Series to the Yankees, 4 to 2.

I use dynamic difficulty because it mirrors hot and cold streaks for me. Most players would slump for a bit when the difficulty got to Legend +, except for Freeman. Dude won MVP by hitting .350 with the 71 homers and 150 RBI. He also had about 60 doubles because defenses would put insane shifts on so I peppered the LF line with line drives and grounders

I'll check tonight when I log on. I think when I started the game the first time I said I was an experienced player, not a first timer. It's definitely not hof level.

A few of these guys are very good and tbe competitiveness used to be very high, but in the last few years they have closed the skill gap by slowing down pitch speed and top players will lose a game every once in awhile that they absolutely shouldn’t, which I guess they did to make it more random like any baseball result.

I’ve never beaten McGunski, but I did beat Pitching Rebel the one time I played him in 17. I didn’t play the other guys that I can remember when I still played DD. I finished top 20 in the rankings for 17 as well. It was by far the gold standard of gameplay for the series, but that could also be because I was good at it

I haven’t bought the game since 18 and quit after the first season. I still have some friends who play and from what I’ve heard they have done an incredible job in regards to content.

5 Deep is a big time The Show player. I'm an xbox guy so haven't had the luxury of playing it, but once it's out on xbox it will be a constant play for me when I don't have anyone to squad up with on COD

I’ve always played DD. Always a fan for the first few weeks during the honey moon faze. Usually hate it after that.

‘20 was AMAZING for the first week, and had been terrible ever since

Love MLB the show. I pretty much strictly play franchise. This year I've been playing as college teams and it's been a blast.

Wow, I’m pumped to see it’s coming to next gen for Xbox. I’m an Xbox guy also and had recently looked at buying a PS4 just for this game but now I’ll wait.
