Have you been shaking non fruit trees for furniture? One per day but have to watch out for wasps. I’ve been getting some pretty good stuff lately.
You can shake two items from trees daily on your island. First, always have your net in your hand before shaking trees. To make sure you don't get stung by wasps, make sure the three spaces in front of the tree are empty (no flowers, weeds, sticks, etc). Stand in the middle of two of the spaces so that you shake the tree at a slight angle. If a wasp nest falls, it will always fall in the third space in front of the tree, and you will always automatically turn to face the nest. Just start tapping A, and you will catch the wasps before they even get a chance to come after you.
Every day, you will always have four fossils, one DIY recipe in a bottle on the beach, two items that you can shake out of non-fruit trees, a glowing spot that you can find $1k in (and plant money in to grow a money tree), and one rock that will spit out money if you hit it. You also get extra nook miles for checking the atm machine, and a new song that you can buy from the atm machine (though it's gotten to the point that I'm getting repeats now). And if you planted a money tree each day, you should always have a money tree waiting for you. Those are my daily errands outside of watering flowers to breed new colors.

This is becoming a chore. Hopefully I can spit out some rare colors soon.
I also littered my island with mannequins trying to get my rocks in a certain spot. The first 2 days I had missed spots. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Most mystery islands also have one wasp and one piece of furniture you can get out of a tree.

I always stop at one, sure enough today got 2. Thanks for the heads up!

Same here, I had no idea it was 2 items thank you!

Thanks I also didn’t know it was 2 items....
So in theory if you cut your entire island down to only 3 non fruit trees... would everyday these 3 trees be guaranteed to produce 2 prizes and 1 wasp nest ?

I'm not sure if a wasp nest or item would be guaranteed with just three trees. There's also the possibility of getting 100 bells from a tree shake.

True yes, you’re guaranteed a coin falling out too. I’d didn't account for that.
I’m legit curious though if you had small number of non-fruit trees together... if they all would produce the aforementioned items each day.

I tried looking it up on reddit, and this is what I was able to find:
If you eliminate all but 17 non fruit trees from your island, you will get exactly 5 wasps, 2 furniture items and 10 coins (100 bells each).
If you have less than that, the general consensus seems to be that it would be any combination of those 17 items, it does not seem to prioritize one set before the other.
ETA: Someone said it's actually 22 non-fruit trees because there are up to 15 bell drops?

Good research... thanks...
I’m clearly not shaking enough trees everyday. I usually get a wasp and furniture, and call it quits once the first furniture piece hits.
And obviously shake for tree limbs when needed. In that situation, I usually just shake the nearest couple trees 10x each to get what I need. I do have a lot of non fruit trees on the island though.
Side note:
My boy (6yo) caught his first coelacanth today. I think he was more excited than when he caught his actual first real live fish

Got 1 in there. 5 more to go

Oh, wow. Are you blocking out any other part of the island when you break them to respawn, to help guide them there? I'm terrified to start breaking mine because I'm sure they are going to respawn in the worst places and getting them where I want is going to kill me.

Beautiful . That’s my non-urgent plan. I just need to figure out the right place for them, somewhere I want it long term before I start this process.
Don’t hate on me... I had similar plans to put them surrounding a fountain with hedges encircling.

Also ... what did you get it to spawn on? Is that dirt or sand on those squares? I didn’t know that was possible. I figured any pathways were no-go .

Yeah Egbert might be one of my favorite villagers. My rock garden isn't an original design. Others have done similar things that I've seen. If you create a custom design that you don't want and place them as a mannequin on a 4x4 pattern on your entire island and only leave 6 spaces for them to spawn, they will only spawn there. Once you're done you just change the custom design and all of the mannequins will disappear at once. Cool thing about the mannequins is that they don't degrade your island rating either and can even improve it. They are counted as furniture I think. It's hard to get around right now though but it'll be back to normal soon. I put sand down so that the entire area can be sand when it's done. The brick/stone paths won't let them spawn but sand and dirt will.

Turnips for 104 here...which is garbage. Dying to have you baws over but I can never get cheap turnips or a boom in the turnip market. Maybe I’m due for one soon.
