Day 1 I just eyeballed it but it took a bit of fiddling before I felt confident I had the dimensions right. The timer method you listed above makes it MUCH quicker. Thank you!

YW. I tried the 17 sec method today too. I am terrible at eyeballing it. Congrats on the bug collection. I just completed mine yesterday.

I tried the counting method, my Mississippi’s are off. Size was wrong. Went back to the standing next to it method and did it real quick.

This is what I did today. The second he said I did a terrible job, I closed the game and restarted.

Be careful about textured ground tiles - I have some paved paths down and I've noticed when you kick or roll over paved squares the snowball will not get bigger. In fact the ball I kicked across the paved path this morning got smaller with every kick that wasn't over unpaved ground. That'd screw up a timed count for sure.

This is on purpose so if you roll one too big you can make it smaller

I think I finally have my island residents that I want to keep...
Audie, Fauna and Flora (kind of had to do that), Ankah, Caroline, Apple, Meringue, Marina, Lily, and my newest one...Ketchup (love her)

My villagers are now: Marina, Zucker, Octavian, Audie, Beau, Drago, Aurora, Reneigh, Hamlet, and Timbra. I have all 3 octopuses which is pretty cool, but I’m struggling to decide who to boot next. I’m guessing Timbra the sheep is the easy choice for now.

After hours of grinding balloons I only managed to get iceberg wallpaper and iceberg flooring. How are y’all doing in the recipe quest?

I tried to move snowballs around but they keep crashing into trees and exploding. Now I don’t have any more..

You should be able to save and restart to get the snowballs to spawn again. Sometimes going inside and back out will do it but this morning I had to restart to get them back.

And my daughter got the falling snow wallpaper on her first balloon while running around. So naturally I grinded for clay and iron balloons, as is tradition.

I got a Snowflake Wreath DIY out of a balloon.

How is that even an option?

If Isabelle is going to give it out for free it shouldn't be in the loot table, IMO. At least not until all other seasonal recipes have been gotten and we're in to duplicates.

I got the iceberg wallpaper and iceberg flooring too. I have a few others but I can't remember what I got from balloons and what I got from snowmen.

Congrats to your daughter! I really want the falling snow wallpaper. Hopefully I'll shoot the right balloon soon.

Isabelle gave out the wreath today. It is the ornament wreath not the ice wreath - which makes sense. Starting today you can shake the trees for ornaments. Right after I got in the game Ketchup ran up to me and gave me the Festive wreath.

I think I may have gotten screwed out of the wreath. We have someone leaving the island today so Isabelles announcement was around him leaving and not the trees and wreath diy

That's not going to be good for me either. Yesterday that Kangaroo was in boxes, today she'll be gone. I better get my stuff

Hopefully you will get it tomorrow. I got one recipe out of a balloon for a little festive tree. I got plenty of balloons after that but just junk in them
