A friend of mine has been speedrunning games at GDQ (Games Done Quick) since its inception. Because of unsubstantiated claims by members of that community, he was banned from running games or attending their events in any capacity. Their Twitch channel even blocks the posting of emotes from said streamer, along with any other banned streamers. I don't understand this cancel culture.

I've yet to see any evidence to the contrary. But just in case, I'll make sure to go virtue signal against virtue signaling based on an unverified post by a random person on the internet that got my jimmies in a tussle.
