i might download this in a few and check it out. Used to LOVE the game. Was skeptical about controller but the review I read said it translated well.

I'm genuinely curious to hear how this plays, as I've only played m/kb, and I genuinely can't fathom playing an RTS like AoE with a controller.

ive played aoe2 for years. i thought crossplay was already enabled. in the multiplayer lobby i see people on with the xbox icon so i assumed they were already playing it on the xbox.

They were probably playing through the XBox PC app. It was already on Game Pass for PC.

Just figured it out. Turn down narrator volume in audio settings. What a stupid default setting

I went into the settings of the game and turned the narrator all the way down, but that turns down the voice acting as well.

Been playing the shite out of this on PC Gamepass. One of the best game of all time that has had some really good mod community updates.
