If I wanted to get an older AC game for my xbox1, which one do y’all recommend?

I used to play AC on my playstation 2. I don't like all the futuristic stuff. I wish they offered just a basic fighter sim game.

You're not going to be playing Ace Combat games on a current console.
You can play AC6 on Xbox 360, but it's not backwards compatible with XB1. It's also not available digitally, probably because of expired license agreements with the aircraft manufacturers.
I think AC 4 & 5 are only on PS2.

We’re so close to release

You're in luck Mr. Hangover. AC 6 will be backwards compatible for Xbox One in the next couple weeks. AC 7 preorders even come with a free download code for AC 6.
PS4 preorders get AC 5.

War thunder has jets. Be warned you’re at such a disadvantage playing on console though... and it’s gonna take a while to grind up to get a jet unless you buy a premium one

Glad a saw this thread. Love some ace combat. Tried to play a few months ago and couldn't find an option on xbox one. Instant pre-order. Unfortunately, now i have to wait another week and can't stop watching youtube clips and getting pumped about it.

The AC5 as part of the preorder bundle got me to preorder. That's a pretty good preorder exclusive.

I only wish it was more of sim like most PC flight games. Jane's was the shite back in the day but of course EA had to kill them off.
