I keep telling myself I won't buy it... I'll probably end up buying it.

I wish it came out before Madden though.

Read about how spoiled some of these providers have become and have used stupid laws to their advantage.

You mean how the big companies used their FCC moneys to basically cook the books to show great numbers to their stock holders instead of actually investing in their networks? Then there are stupid differences in how cable companies providing phone service are regulated completely different from phone companies providing cable service. The FCC is ran by a bunch of jack legs. There are companies that have used the regulations and federal money the correct way then there are those who have exploited it for the sake of pleasing investors and owners.

wish they would just announce it already. im tired of waiting to see what this things all about

youd have to think the 500 dollar one makes it worth your while. All the people saying well the cheaper one because it will be cheaper in the long run are being naive. Do you really think Xbox didnt know that

Now they are doing the same things with the grant money they are getting under Obama's "every home deserves high speed internet" plan. They get the money, add in an area or two to please the regulations, then pocket the rest.

Until Microsoft actually announces anything, I will wait and make that decision then. I don't exactly trust all the rumors floating around because for every rumor there is a counter rumor....such as the "always online" requirement that has floated around. I certainly won't base my decision on the hacks around here that "are in the know", but if they launch a value pack that requires commitment and the long term effect means that the consumer saves money...I think that is an awesome idea!

Problem is, there are some companies actually using the money as intended, while others do what you speak of. The big companies are the ones with a bunch of the foul play, now their networks are falling behind the small companies who have used the money as intended (not saying that there aren't small companies who haven't abused the system).

The large companies are now coming to the FCC with their massive amounts of money and lobbyist saying, "We don't need the money you should do away with it."

They are doing this to keep the smaller companies that are using the money properly from expanding into their territory. They are offering inferior products compared to these independents who are expanding and moving forward with technology. Where the large companies are moving forward are in areas that they are being pushed to move forward or lose their market in the area.

Ha ha, my bad....I thought this might have been a well thought out discussion, but then again this isn't the OT? amirite?

To add to the discussion then...is it true I will get less trim when I have an Xbox because I heard Microsoft sends out subiminal messages to my mind with the help of Micro$oft's investment in Turtle Beach headsets that cause me to be more of a nerd than the "master race"?

Yep. Too bad Google Fiber can't roll out in more areas at a faster rate. It seems to be the only thing scaring the big companies because Google has the money and name to compete.

Bigger companies use lobbyist, lawyers, and scare tactics against these small companies too often.

Well I want a media system that plays video games. I want to be able to load movies, music and shows on my device via wireless connection. If the PS4 is that, which i assume it will be since the PS3 was, then im sold. My relationship with Micrsoft and XBOX has ended.
