Fournette and Adams both at 81 overall (tied for third highest rating amongst rookies), Tre'Davious White is a 78.

I don't understand why they just can't produce the game with completely fake players. All of the real ones are gone after 3-4 seasons anyway, then you were playing the game with fake recruits!

Not really. Based on jersey numbers, the roster had fairly accurate starting lineups. Of which players' height and weight were on point, and player ratings typically reflected which ones were among the best in the nation.

They would probably have to disable customizable rosters in order to satisfy the lawsuit complaint fully.

Yep. NCAA going away forced me into video game retirement.

My wife and kids better hope they never bring it back

I wonder what would have happened if they released the game with randomly named rosters instead of jersey numbers.

Really, I would be totally fine with a completely random roster with no bearing to real players at all.

Because they didn't. They wanted to reflect the previous season, and it'd be hard to explain why Clemson and Alabama played for the title if Clemson had an 81 OVR QB and Alabama had an average 82 OVR at LB, for example. That said, if you match the ratings to the actual players, then it becomes hard to say, "No, that's not Deshaun Watson, that's... Deshan Batson... yeah..."

I fired up NCAA 14 for the first time in over a year last Saturday and man I miss that game.

I really don't understand why they cannot at the very least release a generic "college football" game with a robust player and uniform editor. The Fire Pro wrestling franchise made a name for itself based off the ability to create virtually any real life wrestler past or present

I disagree here. They went way beyond that. Tebow, for instance, was a left-handed QB with the #15 and in those games they even had home towns for the players which were either exact or damn close to where they were from. That is very specific. Now take away all the information other than ratings and randomize it and I think it would be a much more difficult legal battle to say "hey that's my likeness they're making money off of"

Lmao! Tre' White is the best 1st round CB at 78 but the last one selected in the 1st round. Okay, Madden. Lattimore being a 76 is beyond stupid.

No, they didn't. They were using their likenesses. Must someone spell it out for you?
