Cane's is decent, but not something I'd ever eat often. Think there's room for two places like this in town? I know their menu has more items, but would they last? I hope so.

BR having a lot of new, well established, franchises is a great sign!

Panera bread, five guys, Firehouse Subs, TGI fridays (coming soon), Zea's, Mugshots, and the california based grocery store opening in the place of the old caterie.

Not to mention all the places that originated in nola that came here after katrina.

I'm not saying they're all great places, but they've all survived the riskiest phase of all businesses while being the riskiest business. And with a huge selection around this huge world, they chose this shitty town we call home.

Zaxbys has variety (wings, salads, etc), but they aren't exactly cheap. A tender combo with fries and a drink costs over $5, and that doesn't include toast.

I'd take canes anyway. At zaxbys everything is prepackaged and not fresh.

BR had one of these a long time ago. Hardly a reason to get excited.

Huh ? You are complaining about $5 at ZAXBYS ? A meal at Canes is like 7 for 3 itty bitty fingers

I'd prefer an El Pollo Loco to Zaxby's.

All of Zaxby's stuff is fozen. Doesn't compare to Canes in any way, shape or form. Their tenders are more like McDonald's strips, really. Tasteless heavily battered lumps that can be purchased at Walmart. Are they cheaper? Yep but you get what you pay for.

Yeah, wings n things is a solid meal. It's not cheap either. I am pretty sure the finger combo I mentioned earlier does not include a drink either.

I can get a wings n things combo with toast and drink for $7 and change where I've been.

Not sure what one you have frequented. That combo fills me up and sometimes I can barely eat it.

Their equivalent of a caniac, the large wings n things, is just under 10 bucks last I checked

at the end of the day they are both doing chicken tenders so how bad could it be.

I give Zaxbys the edge because they offer wings and other shite.

BTW im here in Dallas and their are now Canes everywhere and everytime I drive by i dont see by 1 or 2 cars there. it lost its charm when they expanded like they did.

Guthries>Canes>Zaxbys

Guthries = home of the "original" chicken finger. All others are imitators.

P.S. I do like Cane's better than Zaxbys though. Guthries is slightly better than Canes though. Bigger fingers and bigger fries and Texas Toast that actually crunches as opposed to the thick doughy piece of "toast" they gave me at the Cane's in Mobile.
