Follow the TD method of cooking rice

I'm sure it is a fine method, how long does it take?

Box versions are way too salty IMO.

I add an extra 1/2 cup rice- makes it last a little longer (that’s how Mom fed the 6 of us with 1 box), and tempers the saltiness a little bit. We grew up with Zatarain’s, so that’s what I use out of habit, but I have used Tony’s before

Once it comes to a boil, give a quick stir. Put the lid on it and turn it down to a simmer fir 20 minutes. After 20 minutes turn off the heat, give it a fluff if you want.
One cup of rice would equal 2 cups of water, just go from there with the measurements.

If it's that easy, why does a box version even exist?

Never underestimate the laziness of Americans.
Premade PB&J sandwiches exist.

I agree with BigBinBR. If you are cooking a pre-mix jamb this one is the best to me.

Can I whip it together in 35 minutes on a Wednesday work/school night while also taking out all the trash and recycling, doing this morning's dishes, and taking ops calls for server outages caused by a tropical storm moving through my zone? AND post here? If it's that easy, why does a box version even exist?
Ask your husband to help you.

But I thought that’s how everybody cooked rice?

Cajun Spicy is the one we like out of all the boxed versions.

I prefer zatarains but like others said oak grove is the best.

I like to do 1/2 lb of conecuh and 4 boneless skinless thighs in it.
