There’s usually only a line on weekend afternoons. Moves fast. Ample seating but a lot of it is outside under a tent

Only 9 downvotes. I underestimated this board.

My dad likes these. They are well below many of the others mentioned imo.

Not too far from where I grew up off of Transcontinental, so we ate tons of Shortstop poboys over the years.

Still stop there when passing through to visit my folks at Garden of Memories. Nostalgia makes everything taste sweeter.

Fried shrimp from Guy’s gets my vote.

I do like the surf & turf at parkway but the line & eating outside in the summer sucks. I feel like the roast beef could be better seasoned there but hot sauce mostly cures that.

Big fan of a debris poboy from Bear’s as well.

Roast Beef is king for me. Bear’s, R&O, Bevi, Parasols do it the best. Hard to pick a favorite.

only if you're a lightweight.

Other favorites (all from Bevi): Cochon de Lait (pecan smoked pork topped with Creole cole slaw, pickled peppers, and charred onion mayo), Smokey oyster (fried oysters with smoked gouda cheese and pastrami bacon), Peacemaker (shrimp, roast beef debris, and Swiss)

Parkway hasn’t been good the last few times I got it.

Verti Mart has been excellent every time I go, all that jazz or just dressed shrimp.

The only time I visit parkway is when they’re serving the thanksgiving day poboy. Besides that it’s just another poboy shop. I can get the same thing at Parasol, Mahoneys Guy’s ect. and these places are closer to my home.

Seems like an odd non sequitur.

I'm not a big fan of mixing meats and seafood on poboys, hence I'm not that enamored with their All That Jazz. All the stuff there is legit, though.
