I have gotten everything from Revereware to about all the known celebrity ones. They all always peel.

I finally found a good set.

I guess my set is the best under $1600. Is it dishwasher safe?

copper core. Black iron stuff, and I have an excellent 10 inch skillet from Pampered Chef.

I cook primarily in Lodge cast iron and enameled cast iron, love those things.

Also have a Lagostina tri-ply stainless set that's pretty solid... it's not non-stick, but cleans super well.

i have the cheap sister (emerilware) and i have to be honest; i have 3 iron skillets and dutch oven and we cook 99% of our meals on the cast iron.

the emerilware mainly comes out when we're boiling something.

Staub and cast iron (skillets, dutch ovens).

Also, have one big arse gumbo pot with super thick bottom. Use that for stock and large quantities of gumbo, soups, etc.

Cuisisart stainless. Heavy multiclad bottoms, all stainless with glass lids. We cooked with Calphalon for years. Had tons of it and changed last year when I retired and we moved into a much smaller house.

Like the Cuisinart Stainless a lot.

We still have our Le Creuset enameled Dutch oven, my black cast iron Dutch oven and griddle from BSA Scoutmaster days and five or six black cast iron skillets of various sizes. Oh I also have a large oval black cast iron fish frying pot that goes with my catfish cooker also.

oops - a Hammered Steel WOK also.

The cast iron stuff works fine, just as it has over a few hundred years of use by cooks.

Thats a nice place to put pots easy to grab. I like the ones I use every day hanging.
