I wouldn't either if I was in NOLA. I just make do with a Jersey Mike's or JJ until I head south.
tru dat. Schlotzsky's is legit when we use to have access to them.

Jersey Mike's is far and away my #1. I've never had Potbelly, but I plan to try it when I go to Tampa next month.

Any list that doesn't have Potbelly on it is as legitimate as Brandon's Presidency.
I think people leave it off their lists due to ignorance because there are no potbelly franchises in the south.

Their Gobbler Bowl for the holidays is legit.

I just realized I've never eaten a sandwich from any of these places. I like sandwich places too, I don't know why I've never been to them

JM for cheesesteaks. Firehouse for their Italian. I'm not a fan of JJ's.

This although there are a bunch in Texas (if that’s the South is up for debate). They’re the goat hot sandwich chain

Publix (that bread is ridiculously good)
This, to me, is what really sets Publix apart from the rest. Nice, chewy exterior with a soft and airy interior...just perfection.

Jimmy John's
