not imaginary. This is going in a real restaurant but the owner doesn't really want to take suggestions unless those suggestions are already found at brewbachers, shlitz & giggles, Buffalo Wild Wings, and local gas stations.

Also one of your picks must be a arnold.

Apparently Canebrake and NOLA brews suck so keep them off the list.

Wait, 7 must be BMC.

Oh we need a tin roof (understandable) and an abita tap.

So we have a thread asking for one tap. That decision has come down to Stella or sofie.

Yea Jake, these 6-7 people in here that are busting your balls are the last mother frickers you need to be taking advice from for opening a joint like you're shooting for. If you were opening a bar for beer nerds, thier suggestions would be golden. As it is, I would take the suggestions you got on the first page or two and disregard the rest. Or better yet, post this on the OT. That is a far better sampling of the people who are going to keep your buisness afloat.

Hope you keep catering to the odd crowd that attends now or you're SOL. am I reading this right that you're the owner already? Just making renovations?

You couldn't get me to open a bar in BR unless I had tons of money to spend.

Good luck man.

Jake, if you take his advice, what sets your place apart from any other bar/grill around town?

I was just playing along.

If it was MY bar and I only had 11 taps I don't think I'd even have Abita on except for certain selects.

If he takes your advice he won't be open for 3 months.

I understand the cost thing, but if you are going to serve the exact same thing as the station or chili's, then you won't last 3 months.

I understand this isn't a craft bar. But right now, i don't think it is a great idea to open a bar that is the same as every other bar. I never went to this gameday place, what did they serve? Daiquiri's, BMC, Abita, and a tin roof?

Doesn't matter what gameday sold because they were an electronic music bar that the electronic music fans frequented to hear local DJs.
The place seemed to so fine catering to them. Changing it up without going to another niche seems like a death wish.

I know this already, but thanks for the sentiment. All I know is this thread got out of hand quick because a few people on here are asses. Why is list 11 beers you'd like to see on tap so hard?

I think he's banking on the food being solid.

Not at all. It's like barely 21 year olds who wear tutus and dance to Edm music. People who used to frequent north gate tavern.
