I would agree with Zippy's and Superior. Both are "vibe" places, food average at best.
My Fav is Modesto, but I don't think the taco trucks can be beaten!

I know it is closed now but I am going to say the worst Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge was LaFonda's.

Has anyone ever been to Marina's Mexican Grill on Perkins? Been open for almost 10 years and I haven't ever heard any recommendations for it, or of anyone eating there.

I think someone earlier in this thread said it was terrible.
Weird spot. It opened and then it had a dumpster in front of it for like a year, so I assumed it was closed, then suddenly I realized it was operating still.
I went when it was new, but I remember zero about it. I assume they cater to businesses along that stretch?

heard La Carreta on Bluebonnet has taken a downturn. Was told it was disgustingly bad now.
I thought it was terrible 10 years ago. Cant imagine it now.

I work near by and have gotten food to go from there a few times. Its not great but it was a decent lunch when their prices were fairly low. Food was about on par with other mediocre places like Casa Maria.

I’m astounded Marina’s is still open. I pass it regularly and thought it closed 5+ years ago.
