Darn. I liked having the competition in the area to try and get Lagers to step up their game.
I wonder how the one in the warehouse district is doing

The World of Beer of Sugar Land also closed down within about 2 years of opening.

I figured it was maybe because that location was just a few blocks from Flying Saucer and some other places (Guru Burger, Jupiter) that were more locally owned and while not as many taps, brought in really good, local stuff.

Seeing this now...maybe more of a corporate issue??

Maybe. But again, they don't seem to be faring well of late in the Houston area too. Lord knows Sugar Land Towne Center is crawling with neckbeards at night, but they ignored WOB.

I was looking forward to the Lafayette one opening. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Their prices were outrageous, but really cool place otherwise. Also not very good marketing or advertising.

They were ABSURDLY high. Cost too much, the selection wasn't good enough to appeal to the beer nerds, and location all had a hand in killing them, IMO

That was my biggest issue with them. I was wondering how sustainable they would be at their prices, and I guess this is the answer.

To be honest, with Parish Taproom and Whole Food's draft bar, I don't think I'd bother with World of Beer in Lafayette.

But I hate both those places.

Just kidding

I'm just a fan of more variety. I hope World of Beer makes it three good places to go.

You might like it since you like the lame atmosphere of Parish and WF.

High prices, terrible parking for a suburban location, really not a good location at all.

Maybe the Cajun Cannon made them quit
