I remember eating a lot of scrambled eggs and drinking milk shakes. I wasn't restricted to warm things and the shakes didn't bother me.

Egg drop soup works, also, as would any other pureed cream based soup.

grits or cream of wheat instead of oatmeal? Some type of noodle may be soft enough. snack pack puddings that are room temperature not refrigerated?

I ate broccoli and cheese soup for a week. Mix in some mexican velveeta or pepper jack to give it some spunk and make mini cornbread muffins on the side so you don't have to open your mouth too wide. I just crushed up the muffins into the soup and ate it that way. I literally had this 3 meals a day for 6-7 days.

ETA: You like Malt-O-Meal?

my procedure was yesterday. no nerve damage but they had to drill a lot of my jaw bone b/c the roots were so deep. doc told me that i prob wouldnt want to eat regular for at least a week.

he wrestled w them so long, he didnt take all four out, just 2 on one side.

and all the stuff on the list of recommended foods is cold, except for broth and mashed potatoes. ice packs for face swelling are okay but cold food kills my mouth.

basically, im a wimpy wimp.

My procedure went pretty easy I guess. Doctor told me to eat whatever. Sorry I wasn't more help.

You need some good, calorie dense food. An easy solution is Piccadilly. Lots of hot soft food ready to go. Mac'n'Cheese, cheese and broccoli, broccoli and rice, carrot suoffle, chopped beef.....

I'll check in later...I'm going to Piccadilly.

As someone else mentioned, the pudding packs work well. I just went 3-4 days without solid foods, and ate a ton off pudding.

And yeah, as mentioned, stay the heck away from straws, my sister got dry sockets from that.
