for the most part we're drinking under $15 bottles of wine each night. We save the expensive wines for special occasion
Same here. I keep The Prisoner red blend and Austin Hope cab on hand
But we routinely sample the under $15s from Costco.
I can vouch for #88 on the list and will add that the Kirkland Malbec for $9 is really good.

yes it’s basically box wine but I’ll be damned if some of them aren’t good drinkers. The reds anyway
I’d be just fine with Bogle petit Syrah as my primary red from here on out. It never disappoints and goes with everything

grapes for the Pinot came from the Russian River Valley
Nice. I might have to give it a whirl for $10.

The wines coming out of the gorge are awesome. Highly recommend checking them out and visiting if you can.

It's basically the only table red i'll ever buy - so good for the price.

Just curious, how much were you spending?

How much in advertising dollars did Barefoot pay Wine Enthusiast to get on the list?
I did a post a while back about Barefoot wines. I bought about 10 or so different Barefoot wines and they surprised me. The Pinot Grigio was especially good. The Barefoot Prosecco was nice. The biggest problem with Barefoot wines is consistency. One bottle will be really good (for the price) and another bottle will be a disappointment. But I do keep a few bottles of the Pinot Grigio on hand. I love it with Thai food

I think wine drinkers have figured it out already. Washington wines are earthier in my experience and they aren’t all fruit bombs that California is known for. They’re way cheaper too.

I was regularly buying $20-35 bottles and it wasn’t rare when I’d get in the $50-60 range and it became an absurd amount of my budget.

Liberty Creek Cab should be on this list

This is me currently, and it needs to slow down. This thread inspired me to buy a Bogle and Chateau St Michelle today

Too short to drink bad wine. There’s a lot of good cheap ones.

I’ve tried several on that list and outside the chateau ste Michelle, which was not bad, the others were not enjoyable.

I just snagged two Bordeauxs and one was under $12…gulp
I will say there’s not a worse feeling than buying an expensive bottle and feeling let down if it's not good.

I will say.. There are a few surprisingly decent wines on the low end like Chateau St. Michelle (and I enjoy Bogle), but I do find that there's a pretty huge taste difference between the majority of the $10 bottles and even the $30 bottles. And I think it is silly that people who pride themselves on liking cheap stuff consider you a snob if you feel that way.
I don't know where the point is where it starts to plateau and you no longer need to spend more, but the notion that very cheap wines are every bit as good as others isn't really true IMO.

I think Ravenswood is great for $12
