Good sauce and tacos with the feta cheese were pretty damn good

Yeah fiya tacos. Would make it a point to eat there when I drove in from Lafayette

Was a customer for years then stopped for a while. Went back recently and twice had terrible food for takeout. Not sure what happened either but its a shame. When they are firing on all cylinders it was good cheap tex-mex.

because your fat arse only ate there 3 times a week...should have upped it to 5 and they might have made it

it was awful
You add Torchy's and the college crowd which was the staple of their business started going to Torchy's instead
Plus they probably got crushed during pandemic and now couldn't find anyone to work

If I had to guess it's similar to Mellow Mushroom closing. Corporate decision.
Screw Torchy's. Made an online order once and it took 2 hours after the order said it was ready before I got my food. They kept saying it'll be ready in about 15 minutes Everytime I asked.

It's worse than Torchy's?

I have not eaten there in months. I wish I did but didn't have people to go work during lunch break. I love their hot side and I wish I had their nachos and burritos. I think they had margarita

Supply and demand.
Quality has gone down over time. Used to be very good for what it was. Torchys definitely hurt it but pandemic probably sealed it

quote:I dont know the whole story, but from the limited details you just gave, it sounds like thats the fault of the delivery service you used. No way it took a mexican place 2 hours to make your food. Aka roll up already cooked meats.

Dont be stupid.

Fuzzy's>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Torchy's
I cant remember what the name of the taco was. But I went there once and one of them had a hot sauce on it. And it was the worst tasting thing I've put in my mouth in years. It tasted like it was rotten. Fuzzy's on the other hand is delicious no matter what you get.
But like another poster said it's not as good as it used to be. Went to the one in Dallas a few times and it just wasn't them same as the BR one. Idk if it went downhill or my pot head friends cooking in BR just new how to make it taste better!

It wasn't a delivery service. We put in an order through the Torchy's website for pickup. Got a text saying our order would be ready in 35 minutes, walked up and they said it'll still be about 15 minutes. We finally got our food 2 hours later. There were probably 20 other people waiting. I guess the main fault is that they don't adjust their online ordering system. There's no good excuse for a place to take 2 hours to make and serve tacos. This was also before employment issues were widespread.

Fair enough, my bad.

1 person doesn't make difference

quote:Yep while I love Torchys food, the management and quality control at the BR location is total dogshit compared to Rice village. Have eaten there multiple times and have had ingredients missing from tacos, not giving sauces, and not bringing out drinks until well after food came out.

It'll stay in business for a long time, but it's a shame it seems to be run very poorly.

Fuzzys is in a bad location now. Really a pain to get in and out of there in traffic.
