I've never understood this Canadien whisky preference for people from NOLA. Is it the purple and yellow baggie that it comes in?

I'm not from NOLA and I prefer it. I prefer Canadian whiskey in general.

I mean it's okay and all, just an odd choice for NOLA (Metry and Kennah) residents to pretty much all like.

Crown is pretty universally liked, not sure why you're singling out NOLA and surround area.

Also, Taaka Vodka. I've never seen any other place on the planet drink as much Taaka Vodka as NOLA.

I like crown as well, but my intestines do not. Makers is what I normally drink now when I drink whiskey.

they prefer name brands that they believe elevates their status. "Crown & Coke" (loud enough that other people can hear, then looks around to see which girl believes he's rich now all of a sudden)

I prefer bourbon. I'm not a fan of Crown. You don't see many people drinking it in my area. I never thought about it before but it does seem to be more popular down south.
