That was an awesome review

Roast beef poboys are apparently a very subjective taste. I've had most mentioned on this board and it really depends on what you like. Tracy's is probably my least favorite out of the ones mentioned.
Anthony's, Acme, Chimes, Pokies all do a a good poboy in BR.
Parkway(surf n turf) is my favorite out of the group. I enjoyed Bears as well.

I have only been to Bears in Old Metairie, but I did not like it all that much.
The places I like: Quick Check, Short Stop, Parkway, Seithers, Chateu Orleans, and Parasold. Mr. E's was really good, but it closed down years ago.
Best in Baton Rouge ive had was Roccos.

I don't understand this. It's not like a RB poboy is that hard to make.

I've read that the owner of Pocorellos can be quite sour, is that still true?

he isnt the nicest man you will ever meet
people refer to him on here as the "soup nazi" and cant say i disagree but poccorellos is one of my favorite places to eat in BR so i just roll with it

I eat at Pocorello's at least once every couple of weeks and I've yet to get how posters can say that his RB poboy is anything but meh at best. Muff is good, meatball poboy is good and I love his sketty sauce. But his RB poboy, nuh uh.
Dempsey's RB poboy with the brown gravy is something that I crave every now & then.

Acme 10 napkin RB is the best I've found outside of New Orleans. As them to toast your bread under the broiler before making the sandwich. If they don't toast it, you are going to get soft & chewy bread.

i agree, i have given up on RB po boys in BR.

I really think nostalgia has some of you guys by da kahoonays. I went on a RB poboy binge trying them all over BR and NOLA and really felt like at all the aforementioned places it was nit picking about a particular feature you might like. Some people like the crispy bread, some like the drenched bread, some like a little more heat, some like blah blah blah.
Hell...I liked em all.
If you can't find a RB poboy in BR you like, I feel sorry for you. This isn't some culinary masterpiece that is hard to figure out and I've had plenty of good RB in BR.

Don't you realize that everything in BR sucks?

Even chimes has a good one. They do it right. Garlic stuffed roast and slow cooked. But it's Chimes, so it is over rated

I think we can all agree that Po Boy Express has the worst.

Message Posted by Rickety Cricket You need to try Chateau Orleans deep in the Wank.
I've heard of it. Tiger wises profile pic. I'll try it next time I'm in Nola. Their rb looks fricking dank.

You can't be serious
It is a masterpiece and very hard to find a good rb Poboy even in New Orleans. You gotta go to Tracey's to know what I'm talking about.
