Meh....if I get any it will be just like the last couple times-just walk in at the right time. I don't chase beer trucks. Plus I have plenty of Envie.
And I'll just pull out one of my aged batch 3.

See that's the thing, I do get it. It's a high demand craft beer. Just like pappy is a high demand whiskey. Or whatever super luxurious wine is in demand. I just love when people get pissed off because someone who was smarter, quicker, or had better connections and gets the last case, 4 pack, or couple of bottles. Either be quicker, smarter, or become butt buddies with the store owner, manager, distributer, or stock boy.

Nah, just your name, address, and list of fears will suffice...
FWIW, i don't care about the Ghost craze anymore. Sure i'd like to get some every release, but if i dont, i don't lose sleep over it. Envie is every bit as good, if not better, than ghost, IMO.
And like i said, i got my 4 pack. I've managed to get some ghost every single release. The earlier releases were via contacts/store owners/etc... and by going to every craft beer wholesaler i could find to get some. I cared more then about getting it.
The last 4 or 5 releases have simply been by chance. I stopped trying so hard to get some. Maybe that's why i don't care how much i get, though it would be nice to get 1 bottle each release. But if i don't, no big whoop. But i do sympathize with the people who have never had it and like me, have full time jobs and can't necessarily pop out of work for every release.

Need to get you some more beer. Thing the last one of mine you had was over a year ago. My brewing quality has gone up significantly.

He may understand concepts, but after only 156 posts, he doesn't get the people here so he sounds like a dumbass.

With releases every month I don't need near as much, which allows the NOLA plebs to get a chance at it.
These people should really be thanking me.

Does he? Why do you think Calandro's sucks you baws in every year for the limited bottles with the raffle, plus keeps you coming back all year for more? It's precisely because they don't let one individual walk out with the entire allocation. They could easily sell the entire BTAC allocation to the first jabroni that walked in -- chances are, that individual would snap it up, given the opportunity. But instead they make the better business decision.
Am I mad? Absolutely not -- I know I'll get my share. But that doesn't change the fact that the dude is at worst a poor troll or at best an ill-informed idiot.

:( Jesus squeeze us. Lighten up Lois. Why do people act so damn pretentious? I understand the concept but I'm a dumb arse for having a low post count and chuckling at people who get mad bc someone else got the last pack of ghost? I is sad.....

I meant 2 4 packs. They are limited to 2 4packs.

Oh hey, we just got 5 bottles of pappy in. So, we're going to announce it. Have a drawing. So we will have a shite ton of people come, where only 5 will win. Thus the rest will either leave empty handed or buy something else. It has NOTHING to do with selling the ghost or the pappy or whatever the drawing is for. It is simply to boost sales of OTHER beer when the losers don't win.

Ironic.
You are not a dumbass for your low post count. I'm not saying you are a dumbass at all.
I'm saying that you sound like one because you come on here saying people are "mad" when the reality is that we have been having these Ghost discussions for a very long time, and you have no idea that most of what you read on this topic is complete clowning around.

Yeah well I hate the fact that Calandro's does a raffle. That's why I spend my money all year at places that remember me in November not just the Johnny come Lately's. I believe a store should track customer purchases electronically and give high volume customers the first crack at hard to get items such as Pappy, BTAC, GITM. This is 2016. It shouldn't be that hard to do.

I love these (now monthly) ghost threads.

High end liquor conniseuer entitlement.
Posted on 2/18/16 at 3:42 pm to jflsufan
The raffles are not about the ghost, or the pappy or any of the raffle prizes. They are simply marketing ploys to have vast increase in customers at once, who will sit and stare at various liquors and then purchase them when they do not win the magical raffle. It's all about getting bodies in the door to sell everything else.

By the way I picked up two 4 packs yesterday in BR without breaking a sweat. Could have had more but that's enough until the next release. Envie is a fine substitute.

So give it so the same customers year after year.
Good plan to alienate everyone else.

So it's true, you actually ARE a dumbass. None of us would have been able to figure that out.
