I ate there twice. Unfortunately I was predisposed to not like it bc of the high expectations. I like Red Zeppelin much better

Over the last year, even they started to quit or not show up for their shift.

Thats sad but funny.

Even the prisoners and drug addicts thought the place was awful

I was born in BR and I’ve lived in the area for 20 years. I’ve eaten there twice.

Marginally ok pizza, no curb appeal, rude management, cash only, and zero advertising kept their clientele the exact same old people for the past 30 years. They are dead or dying and cannot keep a restaurant afloat. Every other restaurant in that corridor is packed on a Saturday night. After the 5pm early bird crowd, no one was ever at Fleur De Lis. Just a lonely cop car, idling in the back.

People in this town will stand proudly by a shite sandwich restaurant because their grandpa and dad ate there. Longevity can be a sign of limited choices just as much as success.

If they were smart, which we’ve established they aren’t, they would sell it and let someone else try to bring it back by modernizing it while still keeping some of the alleged charm.

Same.. I have been in BR since 2009, and I heard how great FDL was for probably a decade before I got any, and I was sorely disappointed.. it wasnt gross but id even eat Lit or Pizza Artista over FDL..Some of that is just my own preference, but it was just meh. Red Zep is one of the best pizzas in BR now.

I have lived in the neighborhood for the past ten years and got the pizza twice. They need to sell and revamp the place. If they put out a decent product, the name alone + the location would do well.
