I would venture to say, Fleur de lis has seen more pass through its doors than that goofy Supper Club place ever will.
I'm anxious to see if someone can viably revive it.

add a few 0s behind 67 and I might be tired of it by then...until then, you made the asinine statement so deal with the consequences.

Shitty ownership that never evolved.
It's why most close. That owner may be a decent person, but they're a shite owner.

A shite owner??? They’ve been in business for decades and were basically considered a Baton Rouge icon. How long do y’all expect restaurants to remain open?
They have trendy restaurants opening in BR and lasting 5-15 years but 76 years for a pizza place in Baton Rouge isn’t long enough for you?

And they have low overhead, never fixed their parking lot, have low food cost (it's pizza) in a prime location, it's hard to frick up.
That area should be a gold mine. But the shite owner never evolved.

Really going out on the ledge with this statement, huh? They’ve been in business 76 frikin years and you’re gonna make a bold statement that they will have had more customers in 76 years than the Supper Club will have in their run?

Their family made a living for 76 years with a crappy parking lot. 76 years…and you say it’s hard to frick up????

I mean, if you own an "icon" it shouldn't take too much effort to keep it open basically indefinitely and print money. Apparently the last people hanging on here were too inept to do so.

They kept it open for 76 years. How many years did they need to stay open for you to accept them as having a successful business?

I don't understand the question. You said they were an ICON. Most business owners would kill to own an ICON, don't you think?

According to their website, the current family member has been manager/owner for 30 years. At some point, people retire and get tired of working. Maybe she made her money and can retire? Isn’t that basically the point of working?
I just can’t fathom y’all bashing a 76 year old restaurant acting like it failed.

I mean, my first post here was acknowledging the speculation that owners likely made bank selling it, and that someone may be looking to revive it. I have heard some of the same rumblings amongst the movers and shakers I know.
That doesn't mean they weren't phoning it in for a while. They aren't mutually exclusive deals here.
